Paper boss game!
For transparancy: I won a free copy of the game through a contest (not from the developers). Leaving an honest review, but I didn't have to pay for it. It's a very fun game to pick up and play a few levels at a time. I've played about 90minutes so far and had a good time with it, but you'll likely want to play for 10-30min at a time. It feels like it would be a stellar mobile game and I'd love to see a phone/tablet version. There is a difficulty jump once you get past the first couple levels. Specifically because it feels like the fist levels are rewarding you for speed, but the later levels focus more on methododical puzzle solving where you need to take your time and plan. That doesn't stop it from being fun, but the feel of the game does change a bit after the start. Either way, it feels like a fun "puzzly" version of something like Fruit Ninja. So if you like puzzle and casual games it's a fun mashup that you'll likely enjoy.
Another one of those games I probably added to my cart during a random sale and then forgot about. It's pretty polished, with good music, a nice interface, and lots of little details, like awful jokes you can buy, among other things. What might not be as great is the game design, which is a bit bland: basically, you have to cut paper, and as you progress, the levels get more complicated, with enemies, control instability, and objectives you have to cut in order, among other things. It has a bit of a feel of the classic Qix and similar games. It's not a game that manages to stands out, but it's good for killing time, and you can tell a lot of care went into its development. The Paper Game is a tearable game made by a developer with a lot of passion for it. Each level adds another rule or challenge, and it keeps the game interesting without being overly challenging. There's a bunch of customization plus a custom mode if you really want to challenge yourself. Plus it has a bunch of paper puns
This game is definately NOT teraable. Great game to pick up and play a for a few rounds every now and then. It's worth having in your steam library
Fantastic game, I can't recommend it enough. It's a very simple premise but it's super addicting, it also manages to keep everything fresh with a large variety of gameplay modifiers, sticker packs and different sheets of paper (and tons of funny paper puns). There's also an unlockable custom mode which lets you play with any sort of combination of the items you've unlocked in the main career (and also a randomizer button, so pretty much infinite possibilities after you're done with the main career). A very fun hidden gem!
This game is difficult, but very very charming. Bopping music, satisfying gameplay, and paper-based puns. Ideal for short bursts, fast-paced puzzle pros will love this!
This is a very fun game, and has a lot more than I first thought, a huge amount of content, tons of replayability, and very nice music, concept, and aesthetic. I remember meeting the team behind this game at TooManyGames one year, very cool guys, and it is so cool to see how far it has come since then. With that said, I do not mean to come off as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but I believe some parts could be improved. This is mostly for the devs but, the mouse tracking can feel very incorrect at times, whether it is because I am moving my mouse too fast, or a programming thing, idk, but it feels like I am not making as sharp a curve, or loose a curve that the game says SOMETIMES. It is not all the time, but when it keeps happening in a run, it is a bit annoying. Also hitboxes, sometimes I swear hit/didn't hit something only for the game to say otherwise. Idk if this is a skill issue or what but the hitboxes for the stickers, "powerups", and enemies feel inconsistent. Lastly the little bubbles that appear, look extremely similar. Idk if that was the intent, and yes I do see that the outer line is a different color for each, but I have had multiple times where I swore I was hitting a key or something only for the game to say I didn't hit the right one, and shred the paper. Now all of that said, I still heavily recommend it, and only say all that for the devs to see and maybe improve upon. I admit the stuff I mentioned could very well be a complete skill issue, but I wanted to mention them nonetheless.
This Game is Tearable
A great game overall. The challenges are there, and not as easy as it may seem. Great for all ages. Can have up to three accounts and three different difficulties allowing peaceful paper cutting to seat-tilting engaged gameplay. Great change of pace compared to other games. Loved every second.
