这游戏应该算是烂尾了吧，18年出了以后没多久就停更了，19年作者说要去做一个完整版，到现在也没有消息，不知道是去其他平台了还是彻底没了。 商店页面视频不代表实际游戏画面，虽然不能说毫无关联，但至少属于乔碧罗级别的美颜。 游戏里你的飞机不能左右转向，左右移动的作用和左右翻滚是一样的。游戏里没有音乐，画面贴图质量也不太好，而且快速运动还掉帧。 更神奇的是，你在Option里面名义上可以改键位设定，但按什么键都没有响应，最后只能改出来个mouse0（鼠标左键），重点是作者还没有给你个全都恢复默认键位的选项，改错了还改不回来。

"The Outer Rim: Survivor" is an abandoned Early Access attempt to make an advertisement for a kickstarter that never eventuated. It's one of those cases where a developer bit off way more than he could chew, thinking he could come up with a rival to Star Citizen or No Man's Sky, and instead came up with something worse than both of those. Although, in fairness, it looks so promising that this really is a shame it was such a failure. What do you do in the game? The game features a mix of space and planet-based missions, including tasks like protecting your command ships, attacking enemy command ships, and protecting bomber runs. You collect power-ups to help you survive longer, such as extra missiles, weapons, and flares. On select missions, you can command "wingmen" to assist you in attacking and defending. But none of this works very well and the game is abandoned, so the bugs and missing features will never get patched, fixed, or more content added. Yes, the developers abandoned this 6 years and 6 months ago. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... it's showing a bit of age and won't give you a very up-to-date gaming experience. It's free for now, but the developer intends to charge for this if it ever leaves Early Access, through a kickstarter and paywalling content etc behind DLC. But that's academic, the developer is long gone. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

Игра 'The Outer Rim: Survivor' — это достойный rogue-lite шутер, который переносит игрока в захватывающую, хотя и несколько однообразную, вселенную. Бои динамичные и требуют постоянного движения, а разнообразие оружия и способностей позволяет экспериментировать с разными стилями прохождения. Однако, визуальная составляющая оставляет желать лучшего. Модели персонажей и окружение выглядят устаревшими, что немного портит общее впечатление. Также, хотелось бы больше разнообразия в типах врагов и локациях. Система прогрессии, несмотря на свою простоту, достаточно увлекательна. Разблокировка новых персонажей и улучшений дает стимул для повторных забегов. Реиграбельность обеспечивается процедурной генерацией, но со временем однообразие локаций начинает утомлять. В целом, 'The Outer Rim: Survivor' — это неплохая игра для тех, кто ищет динамичный и нетребовательный rogue-lite шутер. Игра может затянуть, но не стоит ожидать от нее чего-то революционного. Ей не хватает визуальной полировки и разнообразия контента, чтобы стать настоящим хитом в своем жанре. Рекомендуется любителям жанра, готовым закрыть глаза на некоторые недостатки.
