Set in a futuristic Odyssey, "The Next Penelope" is a fast paced action racing game with loud colors, an original story and a challenging risk-reward system. Weapons can be mixed and used at any time, but all these abilities cost vital energy!

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 27 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
One of the greatest aesthetics I have ever seen.
This game is recommended to a particular sort of audience - one that likes the nail-biting adrenaline and have twitch-reflexes to handle the fast reaction situations. The alternative is to memorise the tracks after a lot of replays but I feel this game doesn't have that longevity. So this game is made by one person, which I have a lot of respect for and envy that I wish I could do the same - in saying that, I'll give some notes of critique in hopes to help for future games. PROs: * Nice GFX, looks very much like a top-down F-Zero and even the perspective has a sort of SNES/Mode-7 feel (but with a much higher resolution). * Music is good, fitting - nothing memorable but fits the game and is not distracting. * Handling is smooth, and while it can get very "drifty", in most occasions you feel under control. * Boss Fights (which alone is pretty cool) are each unique and provide separate challenges. * This game is not afraid to step out of its genre - from racing to a surprise changeover at the very end of the game. * Bonus "Jail Level" is a pretty simple but decent mini-game on its own. * You can take on any mission(s) path you want from the beginning (except for the bonus missions); might not be beneficial but it's available to do though. CONs: * Balance of Health vs Damage Output. So this game has a system where everything you shoot/activate costs to your shield/health, right up until you die. There are healing spaces on some tracks but for the non-race parts (eg: boss fights, chases/runs) you will need to get enemies to hit your mines in order to heal - this can be a lot of extra work and managing attrition becomes the forefront of the game near the end. Perhaps some mid-way health drops might've eased the pain a bit in this regard, or reduce/null out the damage taken from shooting your lasers or something. * The game short - my length of game time was about 2hrs on the story, and while there are bonus missions after the end, I'm not sure how long they'll keep you playing. My thought would be to make the bonus missions available at the start like everything else and then you can switch between story missions and then bang out a bonus mission before your'e done, etc. * I'm not fussed on the difficulty level personally (except for the health system) but I think there'll be a wall here that may divide players and their enjoyment - it does get quite hard and your rewards are minimal. This is sort of a neutral point, but XP: there's little to be earned and the XP Shop is really expensive - I think I only got half of the upgrades done before completing the story - and if that's intended then that's fine; because you can refund what you spend (great idea actually), but unless you grind out the black-crystal boss, you will not - earn enough to buy everything - at least, that was my experience with it. Overall a fun, albeit short game, I would recommend on sale though, because the price tag is quite high for the value in return and the overall playtime you are likely expected.

Alright, Apparently i bought this game a while back, left it to collect dust in my Library, and by sheer dumb chance did i stumble across it today. I downloaded it, and got playing. Honestly, it's a great little game! It looks absolutely GORGEOUS, the soundtrack is ballin, and while the controls on keyboard took some getting used to for me, I got it all down pretty soon. Great work, especially considering there is just one single name in the credits before the Special Thanks started. I would absolutely spend money on this again in a heartbeat. HOWEVER! Not for this price. I don't know how much I spent on it back then, but the €13 it's priced at right now, December 2021, is simply too much. - There are some unresolved bugs. Most notably, the Race in Ariadne's Desert. When you get the teleportation ability in another area, the game makes a BIG thing of it. "You can even use it to find shortcuts!" it says, or something similar. However, if you do so in the Desert, the game WILL glitch out. I found 2 potential shortcut area's, rather close to each other. But if I dare use them, the game will simply not count the lap i'm on anymore. I have ran multiple "Final Laps" in the same race, promptly falling from a comfortable lead to dead last, without anyone ever passing me. This is no new bug either, a quick look on the forum resulted in a thread from 2015 talking about it, and one single post from 2016 under it detailing the issue. The solution I found was to simply not use the teleport then, but we as players shouldn't be forced to ignore a part of the game so that another won't bug out. - Final chapter is a bit much. There are several attacks which are barely dodgeable, and using your Vampire Mines to replenish some energy will usually result in taking more damage from the afterburners than you heal back up in the first place. I know this sounds a lot like a "Boohoo game hard" argument, but really, a tad more telegraphing would've been nice. - Last but not least, playtime is low. I have spent 2,9 hours to get from my first time booting this game up, right to the end of the credits. Granted, i haven't done any bonus missions yet, but still. 174 minutesy, give or take, to finish the game. I think that's absurdly low for the money you pay for it. Again, one man devteam, he needs bread on the shelves as well, I get it. But the sad truth of the matter is that the game simply isn't worth €13.00 as it is right now; and i think its safe to assume that support has been dropped by now. It won't get any better. My advice would be to wait for a sale. Despite my detailed complaints, I really did enjoy playing this game, I commend Past Me for buying it, and I do think other people will enjoy it as well. But for €13.00, you can get a whole lot more bang for your buck.
Oh look, what a lovely track someone has built. It's be a shame if someone...teleported past half of it. 10/10 would recommend.
Fun racer, garbage campaign due to bad bosses, followed by a terrible final encounter that abandons the racing game you wanted to play. Cool powers, terrible system that makes you spend your health to shoot, and then you realize that most boss fights are either dps races done perfectly, or spamming a mine in hopes that it heals more than it cost to use while ramming yourself into enemies you can't see until they're right on top of you because apparently a poor field of view is "intentional game design". Buy because you want the 4 player versus race, or ignore entirely.
5/10

Random game key: 14/152
I want to like this game since it's apparently made by just one person. But I didn't enjoy it a lot because of some annoying flaws. The biggest one is the camera, it's way too zoomed in to be able to see what's going to appear before you, this was especially annoying during the tank boss fight. Another one is the handful of bugs forcing you to restart a level, the first one I encountered was during my first race, the laps stopped counting so I had to restart, and then it happened again, needless to say, I was getting slightly annoyed by this already. The second bug I encountered was getting stuck on the terrain, again forcing you to restart. I really like the visuals and soundtrack, but those things don't carry past the flaws that annoy me too much to be able to continue. However, you might like this game and I can definitely see why someone would.
Mix of Micro Machines and the Nintendo classic F-Zero.
This game reminds me Death Rally, an old game by Remedy similar to Micromachines but with guns. But this time with bosses. A little bit short but very fun
