The game has a rich and complex narrative alongside with combat Cards and deck-builder mechanics, also a semi-open world for you to explore. You have to be mindful of the stress levels of Benjamin, since his actions and decisions will be affected by it. You can perform several activies to relief stress around the city. Be careful of alleys, some might see you as a target and will try to rob you. You can adopt a Pet to help you cope with your mental health situation and relief some stress.
The game utilizes classic point & click mechanics for exploration and interaction with the environment. Players navigate through detailed, hand-drawn environments, searching for clues, interrogating suspects, and solving puzzles to progress through the story. Clickable hotspots highlight interactive objects, allowing players to examine them for clues or add them to their inventory for later use.
The narrative unfolds based on the player's choices and actions, with multiple branching paths and endings influenced by their decisions throughout the game. You will be able to unlock special interactions and special side quests depending on the relationship level you have with the characters which will shape the course of the story and the multiple endings you can achieve.

Reviews
I will be leaving a positive review on this game based on the faith that after its completion, it CAN be a good experience. However, for those intereted with The Midnight Crimes, take this game with a grain of salt. At the time of this review, the game only has a single chapter out. If you're familiar with the Telltale games then this shouldn't be new. The first chapter can be done in about an hour, maybe a little more if you take the time to explore -or get lost-. The game oozes atmosphere in the sound design and art. The shifting fixed camera angles and the voice acting adds to the charm. But it does stick to old point'n'click tennets, so don't expect any keyboard movement. This may be jarring during the different screen transitions. The deckbuilding and combat of this game is a little obtuse. There is no tutorial at the moment so you'd have to learn by the seat of your pants. The only combat I've personally experienced is pretty tough and I can see most people getting stuck or frustrated on it. And probably the biggest sin that I've experienced happened during the choice recap sequence at the end of the chapter. It was in another language. I've been playing the game in english the whole time so it really irked me to not have that catharsis at the end. There is potential in this game, and I don't want to destroy its chances before it reaches it by giving a thumbs down. But I would like to still leave a word of warning to anyone skimming through this section. Wait. The story will be completed in about 6 or so chapters. That's plenty of time for the developers to iron it out. Maybe give it a few more months for a patch here and there. If you want to show some support to the devs, you can purchase it on a sale if you'd like. But at its current condition, I just can't justify a full price.
The plot is captivating and I think there is potential to explore a lot more in future chapters. The character design and voice acting were excellent. The audio and art work made it a haunting experience. I also really like that they combined the point and click genre with card fighting and deck building, it is one of the most interesting aspects of the game in my opinion. Anyway, the first chapter did take me about 3 hours the first time (then I replayed it to explore different decision paths), but I guess it's like an introduction for what's coming. I was left wanting to play more, which is a good thing after all… so I'll look forward to the next chapters. PS: it also plays great on Steam Deck (using the trackpad and touch screen).
Why is this called a card game? It is more like a point and click game with terrible controls, slow pacing and unskippable dialogues. At this point you would think people learnt to use in medias res... It should be an early access title, people say there is only 1 hour content as of now. I won't find out. Maybe once the other chapters are added. Really misleading without the tag, no wonder nobody picks it up. I am actually surprised they published it as it is.
i had high hope for this game but the combat is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, not fun and just badly balanced, totally put me off shame it could have been good if not for that.
Played Chapter 1 and I absolutely loved it! A lot has changed from when i played the DEMO and it looks great! Great Job Deadly Crow! I will be posting my game play on YouTube soon after i finished editing!
Nice visual style and can't say much about the rest because I lost my patience with this unpolished mess. "Point & Click Adventure", well, what that means is just that you move around by clicking on the ground and they managed to make even such a simple concept cumbersome and annoying with wildly changing camera angles and directions. The areas so far were large and difficult to navigate without anything much in it. I guess you can find money in trash cans here and there? Then the first battle happened and no joke, it took like 65 rounds to defeat the two goons from what is basically the combat tutorial. I don't want to grow old before I finish this game, thanks. After that, I was supposed to go to some pub and I kid you not, I could not find my way there despite a map which is, of course, also as irritating to use as it gets. Maybe the story is good, but I will not find out.
The game has a really intriguing dark storyline, but it’s very short in its current state. I hope it gets the support it needs to be fully completed and polished, because the potential is definitely there. Right now, though, it still needs a lot of refinement and more content. If you’re expecting a complete experience, you might end up disappointed, so buy with caution. But if you’re interested in supporting the project in hopes of seeing it grow, it’s worth considering. Honestly, I wish Steam had a middle-ground option instead of just thumbs up or down, because that would fit this game perfectly.
