About

Welcome to my home, an enchanted cottage named "The Merry Fairy", because I am, indeed, quite a merry one. I invited you here to rest and relax. But I must warn you...

My home is filled with abundance and serenity. There is nothing that will stress you, challenge you or push you towards any goal. All is plentiful and readily available. You need not worry about a thing. Just relax and unwind in this enchanted haven of mine. I've asked the weather to accommodate your wishes, my friends to come by if you need any help or company, and a handful of enchanted candles that will light your space for as long as you wish.
I also left you a brand new journal that you write your thoughts in and can decorate as you please. I found the art of scrapbook journaling a powerful practice to master my own magic. Since I sense you might be a magical creature, like me, I think you might find scrapbook journaling as exciting as I did. You may explore my desk as if it were your own, and use any decorations you like!
I wish you a pleasant stay!

A cozy scrapbook simulator filled with little details that "magically" put a smile on your face! I'm not the most creative person but I've seen some gorgeous works of art on their discord! It's wholesome, definitely give it a go!
fun scrapbooking game, you can add your own photos and there's stickers to find. sorry for the short review I don't do this often.
This is a fantastic game for scrapbooking, relaxing, organising your thoughts or listening to music. I like to change the songs on the radio in the game. The Merry Fairy is very replayable and I enjoyed using the decorations and rearranging them to create pictures and journal. I've searched for other scrapbooking games and I think I enjoy this one the most. I also liked the reminders in the game to take breaks every half an hour, and how you can chat to the characters by ringing the bell. The in game tutorial that answers questions is also very helpful and I like how you can ask for decorations. I also liked the option that lets me light candles in Fairy's room and change the weather. Even though you can't move outside Fairy's cottage to other places, her room is very pretty. I also liked how you can select decorations from different scrapbooks and rotate them, and how I can select as many copies of the same decoration as I want. The decorations and quotes in the game are very uplifting and positive. Note: when I added The Merry Fairy to my Steam account, my Steam games library lists games in alphabetical order, but the The Merry Fairy was listed in the M section, not the T section. This is a minor quibble and a steam issue, not the developer's fault. Also - I've tried clicking on the send feedback button in the game, but it doesn't work for some reason. I'm guessing it's because my laptop is quite old (more than 2 years old). The newest decorations (the rainbow bookmark, the circles in different colours, the texta squares) added this month don't save, they keep disappearing from my scrapbook in the game. It might be because I've added a lot of decorations and journal spreads to my scrapbook in the game - my in game scrapbook journal has at least 300 pages for context.
the sound effects for the journal are really loud. it takes me out of the peaceful vibe, an option to turn them down would be greatly appreciated. also, despite reading the tutorial... i can't seem to type in the journal. maybe a skill issue on my part? lol
i really like the game, i still haven't really gotten a use of it yet tho... but i think it wil be relly nice while studying adn things like it.
its a really cozy game, the music in the radio is amamzing and really calms you down. i like the small details and hidden things it gives things a bit more character.
It's entertaining little scrapbook maker. You can run wild with ideas on this, the game giving you freedom of making your own pictures and stickers to use! The idea of going around interacting with things to find hidden stickers to use for the scrapbooks/journals is fun. I just wish you could get a visual cue when you have found all of them from certain books or at least a notebook to keep a track on what you have already found, and what you're still missing. Loving the rain storm ambiance mixed with radio though!
Please note that my review is from the bias of collecting and comparing utility/productivity/focus games. This is a robust and expressive journalling focused experience. I have not yet seen a game of this type that was able to so quickly ease my stress, and its actually really refreshing to see effort and focus put into a journaling function.

Atmosphere: Calming and freeing rather than productivity. The aesthetic reminds me of spring time, and is centred around fairy magic. There is music, ambient sounds based on selected weather, and the 3D first person view of a desk is both a menu to access features, and an area to explore.
Utilities: Focused heavily on a freeform journal where you add text boxes and stickers where ever you like on the page, rather than a simple text editer. There weren't any task list features beyond any you created your own in the journal, nor did I find a timer/pomodoro, and for that I am glad. I have seen those features added to utility/atmosphere games either by request or as an after thought and had that happened here it would have cheaped the tone. This is not a productivity game. It is for self expression and relaxation.
Reward System: This is not for gamification of tasks so 'reward' here just means encouragement to keep playing or return to the game beyond enjoying the atmosphere or utilities, but even then, there isn't much. Which I don't think the game could while still achieving its anti-stress purposes. There are characters you can talk to if you wish which is limited by time, so if you want to talk to them you have to wait.
Don't be put off by my low time spent in this game, as it is not for me - I prefer to remain full of stress and I am too bitter to enjoy the delights of whimsy. HOWEVER, I do not regret this purchase as I adore what I see and glad to see someone putting love into what they make.

The Merry Fairy is a peaceful scrapbook journal simulator developed and published by Pronoia AB, offering a relaxing escape into a magical woodland cottage where creativity and mindfulness take center stage. Instead of focusing on quests, challenges, or resource management, the game encourages players to unwind at their own pace by building personalized journals in a beautifully illustrated fantasy setting. Its gentle atmosphere and fairy-inspired presentation make it feel more like an interactive wellness companion than a traditional video game, appealing to players who enjoy cozy experiences centered on self-expression rather than competition. The game's primary attraction is its flexible digital journaling system. Players can decorate scrapbook pages using a wide variety of stickers, flowers, leaves, mushrooms, washi tapes, handwritten notes, inspirational quotes, and other whimsical decorations inspired by nature. The customization tools are surprisingly versatile, allowing objects to be resized, rotated, mirrored, recolored, and layered freely. Combined with multiple font options and blank journal pages, this creative freedom lets players design everything from personal diaries and gratitude journals to artistic mood boards and memory collections. There are no restrictions on creativity, allowing each scrapbook to reflect the player's own personality and style. The enchanting fairy cottage serves as more than just a backdrop. The environment itself contributes significantly to the calming experience through customizable weather effects, softly glowing candles, and a selection of relaxing radio stations filled with soothing music. Every visual element is hand-crafted with a charming storybook aesthetic that captures the warmth and wonder of a magical forest. The artwork creates a comforting atmosphere that remains visually engaging without becoming distracting, making it easy to spend long periods simply decorating pages or enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Beyond its creative tools, The Merry Fairy includes several thoughtful features designed to support relaxation and personal reflection. Players can receive encouraging letters from the fairy, discover hidden stickers throughout the experience, interact with charming woodland companions, and export completed journal pages as PDF files for safekeeping or printing. These additions reinforce the game's emphasis on mindfulness while giving players meaningful ways to preserve their creations outside the game. Rather than rewarding speed or efficiency, the experience celebrates creativity, positivity, and taking time to slow down. One of the game's greatest accomplishments is its commitment to its calming vision. Every feature, from the artwork to the soundtrack and interactive elements, works together to create a comforting environment where players can disconnect from everyday stress. Unlike many cozy games that still rely on farming, crafting, or progression systems, The Merry Fairy removes nearly all pressure and allows players to engage entirely on their own terms. This makes it particularly appealing for those seeking a relaxing digital space for journaling, meditation, or quiet creative sessions. Its specialized design, however, also means it will not appeal to every audience. Players expecting exploration, puzzles, combat, or structured objectives may find the gameplay lacking in traditional mechanics. The experience intentionally avoids conventional progression in favor of open-ended creativity, making enjoyment largely dependent on the player's appreciation for journaling and artistic expression. Those looking for action or narrative-driven gameplay may feel there is little to accomplish beyond decorating pages and enjoying the atmosphere. Overall, The Merry Fairy succeeds as a charming and thoughtfully designed creative sandbox that delivers exactly what it promises. Its beautiful hand-drawn visuals, relaxing music, extensive customization options, and heartfelt focus on mindfulness combine to create an experience that feels genuinely comforting. While its niche concept naturally limits its appeal, players who enjoy cozy, low-pressure experiences centered on creativity and personal reflection will likely find it to be a delightful addition to their library.
