The Merry Fairy

So this really isnt my type of game. That being said I REALLY wanted to support the dev as shes a friend of my good friend. If you enjoy scrapbooking games and chill games like this, this is a must buy. Its also easy to get all achievements! 11/10

I played the demo and have been waiting for the full release. FINALLY it's here!! <3 I wouldn't consider this a game as much as a relaxing journal/scrapbook experience. I love it. As I have been trying to get back into writing daily this encourages not only that but my creative side too. The amount of decorations and customization is amazing. I feel like I can make endless unique pages. I love being able to write my own journal entries or if I need a break just take a quote that really sits with me and decorate it. There is beautiful music, adorable little characters that you *can* have a quick chat with when they show up. But if you want to just immerse yourself into writing, you are fully able too. The art, where do I begin?! I love it, it feels wholesome and beautiful. I love changing the weather to change my mood for writing. The scrapbook art feels like your actually making one, it doesn't feel anything like a copy paste or clip art game. It is full of love and inspiration and you can feel it with every thing you do.

This is a lovely game. Considering that it’s still fairly new, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of decorations already available. There is no pressure to complete goals or quests, instead, there’s the freedom to simply create pretty pages. With a bit of creativity, it can also be used as a productivity tool. The game doesn’t include tools like a Pomodoro timer or checklists, but in my opinion that’s part of its charm. It offers a very gentle experience, with break reminders, cute quotes, candles, and fitting background music. I like to run it in the background while doing small tasks, or use it on days when I want to be creative but don’t have the energy to pick up my hobbies. My only nitpick is that the writing tool feels a bit clunky, though it might just take some time to get used to. I’m looking forward to seeing what might be added in the future.

Really enjoyed The Merry Fairy! The only thing that annoyed me a bit was trying to place the text in the journal, but other than that, it's a super fun and cozy game. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. 🤍🌿

This is a sweet little journal/scrapbooking game. I'm having a lot of fun with it, but there are definitely a few QoL things that could be added to make me enjoy it more. 1) the ability to change the color of the quotes. The light yellow doesn't show up well with the majority of the other scrapbook items so there are a limited number of things I can put behind them to make them visible which gets repetitive and limits creativity. 2) More animal stickers! There are so many gorgeous flowers but I would love more fauna. 3) The ability to reach the full menu options from inside the cabin. Having to leave the house to change the volume level meant that I blasted through the fairy letters since returning to the cabin always counts as the start of a new day. 4) for some reason my settings never actually save. So even though I've chosen a windowed view it reverts to full screen every time I open the game, requiring me to put the settings in again. 5) this one is more of an idea than a necessity, but the ability to input a youtube playlist to play through the radio similar to what Spirit City has would be really nice! Overall this is a really sweet little game and has gotten me back into journaling after a long break, which I greatly appreciate. I love being able to mix stickers and imagery in with my writing and adding a bit more creativity to the start of my day.

It's entertaining little scrapbook maker. You can run wild with ideas on this, the game giving you freedom of making your own pictures and stickers to use! The idea of going around interacting with things to find hidden stickers to use for the scrapbooks/journals is fun. I just wish you could get a visual cue when you have found all of them from certain books or at least a notebook to keep a track on what you have already found, and what you're still missing. Loving the rain storm ambiance mixed with radio though!

A cozy scrapbook simulator filled with little details that "magically" put a smile on your face! I'm not the most creative person but I've seen some gorgeous works of art on their discord! It's wholesome, definitely give it a go!
