These days in the massive bombardment of low effort asset cobbled together trash and asset flips uploaded to Steam every single day, finding a little indie gem where the developer actually cares and shows enough effort to make a polished little gem of a game is a rarity it seems. The game combines retro space shooting goodness of the 1980s with the polish and special effects and responsive controls of modern games. It's easily one of my favorite indie games this year and probably one of the best retro space shooters that I've ever played on Steam in more than a dozen years! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! If you're a fan of old school retro games like Asteroids or even Pac-Man, then this game is a "MUST BUY!". It's well worth every penny and should pay for itself ten fold by the time you're done going back and playing it again and again. Not many indie games score a perfect 100% in my scoring that places bang for your buck value as the highest aspect of my score, but "The Maze Contract" is my definition of an indie game done flawlessly.
