a very nostalgic game
I remember playing this game an eternity ago side by side with a friend as a wee lad in school. I didn't really think as hard about it then as I do now I think. I kinda just liked being a strange sea monster creature. It makes me now think much deeper about the interpersonal relationships we have not only with each other but with our world and what surrounds us. I've always had an admiration for animal and plant life but this game has only sharpened that interest even further.
Retro liminal space. Bought it for the procedural animation, stayed for the plot.
I mean...it's 1.6 euro and pretty insipid if I'm being honest. It's mostly sweet, and the artstyle is nice but the name is the best part of it. It definitely feels like a first time project, though the moment you start hunting down the endings it gets quite tedious and drains its mysticism. My advice is you play this game only twice, anything else is just very slight changes, you'll know what I mean. So consider this a recommendation only if you feel like offering patronage to an indie dev for what they try to do, rather than what they did.
World's most useless ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ helicopter rescue pilot, my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god.
Flash is officially dead and with it many great indie games from the early 2000s. One such game, "I Fell In Love With The Majesty Of Colors" has been remastered and saved for future generations. It's a short, pixel art, atmospheric, story-heavy game about a sea monster who is discovering the beauty of our surface world. It has a couple of different endings and it's a wonderful piece of art even if there is not much game in this game. Highly recommend!
One of my fav art games from New Grounds
