Nearly unplayable, the movement is awful and very buggy. DO NOT BUY
The Legacy of Music is a poorly made 3D first person platformer... it's not an FPS even if it does look like one. It's purported to be a "rhythm" game but it doesn't really work like one... in fact to a large extent the game barely works at all. I was surprised to see this wasn't in Early Access, because I've played many more complete and enjoyable Early Access games than this. There's a plethora of technical problems that make the game barely, if at all playable... and even if you could play it, you'd be wondering why you tried. Let's get into the autopsy. There's an ugly screen filter meant to make the game look even more obsolete... like the game looks bad enough already, but they actually went out of their way to make it look worse. There's no way to turn this off. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The developers didn't design the game for modern gaming PCs, as such the game resolution caps out at around 1080p, a very low resolution that became mainstream back in 2006 and became obsolete when 4K entered the mainstream in 2014. The game simply won't look right on modern gaming displays due to this failure on the part of the developers. That's even if you can get the menu to work properly. It's apparent that little to no testing for the game was done, at least on modern gaming PCs. In fullscreen, the game menu doesn't display properly, with the game area mapped differently to the mouse UI space. This is caused by the developer not bothering to ensure the game works on resolutions over 1080p, with very high resolution monitors that use resolution scaling. Because the game area is not drawn correctly, it doesn't map to the mouse pointer properly, so the game menu can't be interacted with properly. This doesn't directly prevent the game from being "played", but with no functioning options menu.... it's just unacceptable. Gamers shouldn't be forced to accept defective products just because developers don't bother with basic testing on PC. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. That's right, only 2. This is a pitiful enough number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is remarkable, but also to be expected. This complete and utter rejection of the game from gamers should be a keen information point for anyone considering buying shovelware like this. Gamers just didn't take this seriously, and for good reason. The Legacy of Music has the gamer gouging price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.

I bought this for £0.39 and trust me, you can spend that elsewhere
Looks like it was attempting to be a cross between Portal and an FPS but the controls are so buggy I could barely get through the first door so take that assertion with a grain of salt. Would not suggest though, menus were bugging out, collision physics was terrible (could barely get the block onto the pressure plate for more than 1 second), and just in general the controls are painful to try and use cause they are so glitchy.
I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS GAME IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A ANOTHER 3D PLATFORMER TO PLAY ALOT OF THE LEVELS ARE THE SAME ITS VERY SLOW PACE AND I DONT KNOW THE PURPOSE OF THE GUN. NOT VERY GOOD GAME MECHANICS
