NEGATIVE🟥 🟧 🟨 🟩 🟦 🟪POSITIVE
#tinygamereview

uncomfortably relatable thought spirals mistake recognition for insight
🟧 OKAY ROUGH DRAFT 🟧

🎮 🟧Gameplay: short with just a few distinct choices that may affect the ending; creative use of point-and-click to augment what's otherwise just a visual novel 📖 🟧Narrative: as upsetting as it is relatable, which is itself upsetting on a whole nother level 🔊 🟧Audio: points for good ambience; points deducted for using the same AI voices we hear in the worst ads on socials 🖼️ 🟧Visuals: seems to struggle to find an aesthetic; some things are clearly altered photos/pictures, while other things are drawn with varying quality

#readme
Have you ever been in a creative writing class and forgotten about something that you were supposed to have written until the night before it's due so you spend the night trying to whip something together that's responsive enough to the prompt but is really just literally about not being able to write? Like, you procrastinated and took your panic for writer's block, so you wrote something about a guy with writer's block but also made it about courage or something? Have you ever woken up on like two hours of sleep after staying up to do that and wear a smug grin on your face all day because you feel so good and you swear up and down at the time that this was actually your best work wow you should just procrastinate more often and stay up late the night before every time now because jeepers this is like some of your best work and it's right off the dome because you wrote what you know and that's what they say all the greats and their teachers say write what you know so you wrote this story about someone who couldn't find the courage to talk to the person they like until they found their inspiration and then that inspiration was really the feelings they were having so they wrote a story about a person who couldn't write a story until they found inspiration which is exactly what you did and this makes you so meta? Then, when you actually get to share your story and give the elevator pitch, you realize you've just written the same story that almost everyone who's been in a creative writing class and forgotten about the assignment until the night before has also written once or thrice, and so now you get secondhand embarrassment any time somebody shares a similar story but deep inside you know you did it too and that it can be well-conceived and well-written but at its core it's a thing every writer knows? It's a very weird, very niche feeling. That's somehow what playing this feels like. Some kudos for (briefly) tackling the heady topic of suicidal ideation, but it loses some effect when that's really the only perspective we get until the end where the only other character is met and speaks up (a little). It's a voice that those who've struggled with the voice will know well. But that's all. It's not meaningfully-examined or anything; we just get the results of our decisions over the past fifteen minutes.
#memorycard
Who it's for: 🎁people who download free games 🎁people who actually play at least some of the free games they've downloaded out of a misplaced sense of responsibility or obligation but it's really just boredom

Curator: Nostalginauts
Always found Melanchoila (Movie) and some Source-Engine game depicting and explaining Depression lacking. This one here verbalizes a severe depression in an authentic way.

Konuşmalar geçsin diye ekrana basmaktan başka yapacağınız bir şey yok. 12 dakikada bitirdim ya yaptığım tek şey mouseta sol tık yapmak oldu :(
Short, depressing, but ultimately ends on a positive note. The experience is dulled by the AI/TTS voice over, which makes it feel a bit tacky. Next time, don't include voices, or hire a human!
Mükemmel bir oyundu.
