It doesn't work! Using HTC VIVE and nothing shows in the headset. Others are apparently having the same issues for awhile now yet no fix at all. DO NOT BUY
So far not bad.. but there isn't any real reason to snipe. The sniping functionality is a little iffy with how it works, and it is easier to just wait for them to get up close and shoot them point blank. It's not a bad game.. it is just there are better games for sniping and shooting. If this was early access, I'd give it a pass.. Let's just say.... maybe wait for this one to go on sale. :P
i was surprised to see that the reviews for this game are mixed. I scrolled down the list of negative reviews intensively. i will list the main reasons i found among the negative reviews, and my opinion on them. - Too short and not replayable - You are forced to play as an axis soldier in a bunker on omaha beach. - the controls are buggy and not realistic. (one hand holding a sniper, scope not giving a clear view etc.) too short and not replayable? I personally think that the game is perfectly suited for replay. I have done most missions several times. starting from low difficulty to high, also there are two arcade scenarios in which the enemies won't stop coming until you eventually die. I have played the storyline several times over the 1,5 years i own this game, it keeps the fun it has in it. I agree that five missions is not sufficient. But sadly, most VR games are not very long. LA noire for example costs around 30 USD with 7 missions, 3 of which are tutorials. Which leaves us with 7,5 USD per mission. Thats almost the cost of this game.. forced to play as an axis soldier this game has sparked some controversy on this matter. In order to reach the final mission (killling Hitler in his mansion), you will have to play two missions as an axis soldier. One in a bunker on omaha beach with an MG 42, mowing down allied soldiers. Another in some kind of dungeon, where you make a last stand with a shotgun and two MP40 rifles. The developer could have easily dodged some of the nasty comments on this game by implementing an option to skip these missions. I personally grealty enjoyed all of the missions , i do not mind to play bad guys in any way, i actually like it as some kind of refreshment between all of the games/movies which only show us the good guys succeeding. and that is my personal opinion. If yours is different, that is fine with me. but do respect each other. controls i agree it is pretty tricky to take a decent shot with the sniper, and that the MG42's aiming is horrible, and that the shotgun's damage is like that of a hunting rifle that has been run over by a train, and that you can't hold two MP40's in real life, and that its stupid to reload by moving your weapons down to a floating magazine. But apart from simulation games like Horse shoes, hot dogs and handgrenades, not one game actually really implements this nicely.. Its just something i roll with.
This game gets my marginal endorsement at the sale price of $3.50. There's only about an hour of content, but the scene where you have to jump out of a plane into anti-aircraft flak shocks the conscience when you know 13,000 people actually did that. Then there's the beach at Normandy, too. It fulfilled the developer's stated description of wanting to take you there. Making the player play the axis side at Normandy was an interesting choice, I wonder why we aren't playing both sides of Normandy and the paradrop. On one level, wielding dual SMGs is fun a fun break from the historical accuracy.
Does not even work anymore.
I didnt have much hope for the game, but sadly it just DOESNT SHOW for me... I get the initial screen, but when i start a campaign mission, i get audio but no image in the headset (monitor show the game)... if i try another game mode the game shows up... but i couldnt get it to work with what i was interested in. The game that did load up "rush" is just waves of enemies in a church, with less than basic AI, repetitive... everything, sounds, models, animations... Didnt enjoy it much. Again. i could get past this if the campaign mode loaded up. I cant give a recommendation on a game that wont work, if this is fixed (no image on the headset) ill gladly try to play the game again and change my review accordingly.
Does not render on my HMD (HTC Vive)
Tested on the Meta Quest 3 using link cable on my RTX 3080 on Windows 11. Weird bug that several people with different headsets have reported. Anyways, the opening cinematics do not render to VR headset. However, the main hub area renders to headset and you can even use your motion controls to select menu items. Then when you select the level, it goes back to not rendering to VR headset again. I've never seen this bug in any other game. Do NOT buy. Broken VR game.
Ne fontionne plus actuellement, le jeu s'affiche uniquement sur l'écran et plus dans le casque ... HTC Vive V1
refunded after around 30 minutes or so. pros: starts up and runs ok cons: unplayable, broken to an insane degree the rifle frequently refuses to fire after rechambering another round the ai also goes kaput on you insanely long "parachuting" scene on the first mission, it's just falling for way too long not even worth 87 cents.
