About
You're trapped in an infinite loop inside a movie theater trying to reach the right screening room.
Weird anomalies will occur. Spot them, run to get a new ticket, and keep going.
If your guess is right, you get closer to your movie room.
If you get it wrong, you go back a few numbers—unless you've stacked enough correct guesses to earn a shield in the cinema loyalty program.
The Last Screening is a first-person horror anomaly-finding game set in a cinema venue. You will play as Susie, a movie fanatic who has just received a ticket to watch a film she’s been eagerly awaiting. Use your finest perception skills to help Susie get to her film. The first run we guarantee your safety; after that, you are on your own.
Not every scare comes from the screen. Monsters, weird voices, blood... You better watch out because it's all coming for you.
Trick is keeping your sanity whilst doing so. A big scare is not always a jump scare. Notice the subtle shifts or Susie may never make it to her seat.
The Last Screening is inspired by find-anomalies games that present liminal spaces and psychological horror walking simulators, like 'The Exit 8', 'The Cabin Factory', 'Hospital 666', and the old goodie 'P.T.'.

I thought this was gonna just be a cheap cheesy horror game but they game uses GenAI for it's movie posters and the voice acting for the child character. This wasn't specified in the store page at the time of me writing.
I love the atmosphere and mostly the theme! You can also keep playing and finding more anomalies once you finish the story!
Easily one of my favourite anomaly games that I've played, and I've played almost all of them! I love that some anomalies are more complex than just needing to observe them, you need to do more to fully finalize them. The trailer just doesn't do the game justice!
I really enjoyed the concept of The Last Screening. As a huge horrormovie-fan, it was hilarious to find all the different small references. It gave both me and my community a big laugh! Thumbs up for that one. The game ran smoothly, the environment of a movie theatre was awesome because it something we usually don't see in a lot of indie horror games. The scares was creative, fun and some made me scream (almost growl). The only feedback I want to give about this game, is that the instructions should have been more clear. That it is a anomaly game is no doubt, but just more clear instructions of how to handle some anomalies to be able to proceed in game and what/when the end goal is. It wasn't entirely clear. So a little fine adjustment on that and we're good! My playthrough of The Last Screening on YouTube: https://youtu.be/bJwmui_G-OA?si=aWmo-M2rJpNzP-LA
Aspirinegames
Theater anomaly game? sign me up. very interesting concept. I do recommend with one issue, idk if its bugs or just me but some of the anomalies are too hard to find. i got through the first 13 but cant seem to get through the second 13. ill get all the way to 12 and then fail, fail, fail, all the way back to 1. i almost want to stop playing. i have to take breaks because i get so frustrated. but the concept is cool, just wish i could complete the game. it does get old looking at the same things over and over.
If you liked the demo then you will enjoy it. The ticket machines can be a little finicky to get it to register your choice. Really the only glaring thing that needs fixed imho. 8/10 https://youtu.be/jsGAPzDSloM?si=Av5K2v0lCl7_VUE_
It was my first anomaly game, and now I feel like I’m really into the genre. I liked the movie references, and the game is scary in just the right way. Some anomalies are really hard to spot, maybe because I’m new to the genre, but that just made it more engaging. I’d definitely recommend it.
If you are looking for a game that keeps you on the edge of your seat, The Last Screening is exactly what you need. Following Suzy's story while searching for anomalies creates an incredibly immersive and purely exciting experience. It pulls you in from the very beginning and doesn't let go. Fair warning, though: there are some genuinely terrifying moments in this game! The developers did an amazing job building up the tension, and the scary parts are executed perfectly. Hunting for those anomalies really gets your heart racing, and I definitely jumped out of my chair a few times. Overall, a fantastic and thrilling experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a good mystery combined with a great scare!
