About

The Last Case of John Morley thrusts players into the shoes of detective John Morley in the gritty, noir atmosphere of the 1940s. After spending several months recovering in the hospital from injuries sustained during his last case, Morley returns to his office, only to be visited by the enigmatic Lady Margaret Fordside, an English countess haunted by a tragic past.

Lady Fordside engages Morley to investigate the unsolved murder of her daughter, which occurred on a fateful night 20 years ago. The police had closed the case by arresting scapegoats, but the countess is convinced that the real killer remains at large.
What begins as a quiet look into an old case becomes a haunting investigation into forgotten places and long-hidden truths that refuse to stay buried.

First-Person Investigation – Explore richly detailed environments, from eerie mansions to abandoned sanatoriums, searching for hidden clues.
Immersive 1940s Atmosphere – A gripping noir-style story, enhanced by a haunting soundtrack and period-accurate settings.
A Suspenseful Storyline – A linear, 3-hour narrative-driven experience filled with unexpected twists and a shocking finale that will linger long after the game ends.

Although I’ve played through this game in its entirety, I wouldn’t recommend it, as there are far too many errors, oversights, and so on. It’s a dull game, despite the settings, graphics and gameplay. Meh, or even rubbish!! The story (you can guess the ending right from the start)? So much for imagination! Paying $16 on sale for this is really illogical, isn’t it? Unfortunately, we can no longer rely on a game’s description, as 65% of them don’t reflect the reality of the game in question! Where is Steam heading?
Und ich dachte wirklich ich bin Privat Detektiv, als ich es merkte wars zu spät :D Kurzweilig und stimmig.
Good little horror game. Nice setting, atmospheric, straight forward gameplay. Nothing revolutionary or something that has not been done before, but an enjoyable experience altogether. I recommend purchasing it, on sale, since it's a bit overpriced for what it is. All in all, I enjoyed playing it, so it's thumbs up.
fun game
I was suspicious of everything and everyone, but I never expected an ending like that. When I saw that the killer had dissociative identity disorder and that the protagonist had been committed to the same mental institution as both the killer and the victim, I strongly suspected the protagonist himself might be the killer; however, that suspicion would fade due to his apparent professionalism and his drive to solve the case—acting just like a real detective. Congratulations—a really great game that keeps the player hooked until the very end.
Cute!
Not for everyone. LCJM is short, dark, slow story with a twist. Small team put a lot of work in it, that´s evident. Environment is gorgeous (as far as old, dilapidated manors and insane asylums go) and I do not recall a single glitch or a moment of frustration. Immersion is perfect. Difficulty is low, the game guides you nicely. Yeah, once you finish it, it is unlikely you return to replay it, but the feeling stays with you. All in all, if you like things "noir", "gothic", or "Lovecraft, but without superatural", this is a nice snack between bigger games.
Greus problemes d'il.luminació i aparició d'objectes inclús en espais tancats. La historia es una copia descarada d'una peli. El que mes m'ha agradat es que està en català.
short, but I really enjoyed it
Отличный детектив с тревожной и гнетущей атмосферой и очень неожиданным сюжетом!
