Анимации в игре нету, и весь контент представлен в формате "слайд-шоу". Для получения контента 18+ не забудьте скачать бесплатное DLC18+ в Стиме. Визуал достаточно качественный, и мне понравился яркий и привлекательный стиль рисовки. Это новелла без выбора, но при этом сюжет достаточно увлекательный. В игре очень хорошо прописаны персонажи, из-за чего история становится довольно душевной. Для прохождения сюжетной линии вам понадобится где-то 5 или 6 часов. К счастью, для тех, кто не знает английский язык, в игре присутствует русский. Как приятный бонус после прохождения, в игре есть карточки, достижения, а также магазин предметов за очки Стима. Если подвести итог, то за полную стоимость это довольно дорогая новелла, так что лично я рекомендую покупать игру со скидкой! This novel turned out to be such a pleasant surprise! <3 I totally didn't expect I'd enjoy it so much♡ The first ebi-hime's novels I read were so depressing I'm still astonished when I find her heartwarming stories :D And [I] The Language of Love [/i] is definitely of this kind—so inspiring and healing! [u]Praises[/u]: +All the chars are so nice, I was constantly reading with a huge smile on my face :) Their interactions are so sweet, realistic and fun! Though everyone is struggling and lots of different daily problems are presented it still felt so relaxing and positive, I never doubted they would be able to overcome all the burdens together. +The story felt fresh and unique. I loved how complex she was created. I felt it was not a walk in the park to raise her alone, and she was definitely not very easy to deal with but at the same time she was truly cute, smart and fun to watch. Being a parent felt so challenging, sometimes like an impossible burden, a task you won't be able to complete in a perfect way no matter how much effort, time and love you'd apply. But it looked rewarding and exciting despite all the sacrifices her mum had to make. +free adult patch. ENGLISH: I love this VN, even I can say this is the best I've ever watched!. Characters are good and likeable (Well, personally, excpet Keiichi and his mother, so punchable b4st4rds!), Nice story and music, but most important, I loved Kyouko! <3. Maybe the reason about I love this VN, would be because Kyouko reminds me of my first love relationship so much, another single mother with a daugther and older than me O_O . I felt Kyouko as human as her, many things in common, so I think this game was some nostalgic to me :'). Although.... I would have liked to see more time on the epilogue, and showing more scenes with them being an official couple in love. And about the NSFW scene, if you are finding much s3x, this VN is not for you, due to just one adult scene and they doing it by love. whatever, I appreciate its reflections and good ending. Now, despite its adult patch doesn't show many adult scenes, I'm still satisfied with the nice view. Highly recommended :D. PD: I'll keep getting in the game to see the Kyouko's daily messages. ESPAÑOL: Adoré esta novela visual, hasta diría que es la mejor que he leído!. Los personajes son buenos y agradables (...Bueno, excepto Keiichi y su madre, ¡Qué b4st4rdos más golpeables!). Bonita historia y música, pero sobretodo, ¡Amé a Kyouko!. Tal vés me encanta esta novela, debido a que Kyouko me recuerda la primera relación amorosa que tuve: una madre soltera con una hija y mayor que yo O_O. Kyouko me pareció tan humana como ella y comparten mucho en común, así que supongo que este juego me da algo de nostalgia :'). Aunque.... me hubiera gustado ver más tiempo en el epílogo o más escenas de ellos siendo una pareja enamorada. Y respecto a la escena +18, si buscan ver mucho S3xo, no lo verán aquí, debido a que solo tiene una escena así y la pareja lo hace por amor. Como sea, aprecio las reflexiones que deja y el bonito final. Y aunque el parche +18 no muestra muchas escenas adultas, personalmente, me siento satisfecho con la buena vista. Altamente recomendado. [h1] Simple and sweet VN that ends up meeting enough expectations! (7.4/10) [/h1] Let’s be honest, if you looked at the store page, you probably think this VN isn’t unique and you might be able to write something similar if you were told to write a romance VN. And overall, maybe that’s true! Sure, if you only barely know VNs, you wouldn’t be picturing up a college guy-x-single mother pairing, and maybe more of a highschool setting for this task (as acknowledged in the dev’s afterword). But outside of this, they are normal people who lead average lives. Despite that, I still feel there could be joy in something simple and earnest, and this game delivered. I believe that some games SHOULD play on the baseline of themes and setting, upon which other aspects of it (and other games) can be examined and compared to. When all you have to work with is the mundane, then the writing can be judged more on its own merits, because there’s no “intriguing setting” to prop up or mask its quality. Realistic settings also make dialogue snippets hit closer to home imo. I know a couple of people [strike]including myself[/strike] out there feel like they’re a dropout failure, due to them having a slow start for OR during college life, and this game explores that void and uncertainty well in the early monologue parts. Since this game came out quite recently compared to some “decades old VN-classics” that new people exploring the genre won’t even know how patch JP-to-EN if it’s not officially ported for steam release; I can say this VN is a good entry point to the romance genre as any. Not too shabby, does what it set out for. [h3]Genuinely, if a guy friend told me they wanted to start playing romance VNs but don’t know where to go, this would actually just be a title in the list.[/h3] Maybe because I’m trying out more of them myself and I haven’t found one that would do the job that’s sweet and simple, but this is the most palatable yet among the ones I tried. Conversely, if you’ve played a lot of VNs, I can understand why you might skip this instead. But this is good enough, because the first time I played a dating sim VN, my initial thoughts were “surely there are better VNs out there, right?”, and it didn’t occur to me while I played this. The VN does have a little twist to it, and I feel like it could’ve had a slightly reworked execution in this regard (more in the last minus point), but [b]overall, it’s a pretty cute read with a decent amount of lighthearted jokes woven in.[/b] [h3]Information:[/h3] [b](•)Playtime: ~8 hours reading leisurely[/b], possibly around 5.5 hours on a quick read. [b](•)Small Age Gap[/b]. If you came in here expecting a bigger one (no judgment, that would be fun, and a possible selling point), I have to inform you that there’s barely a gap here. There’s kinda a mental gap, but.. eh? [h3](+) Pros:[/h3] [b](+) Fun character banters.[/b] This VN is unique in the sense that you get to interact with a kid as her guardian/babysitter of sorts, and how a kid acts to create entertaining dialogue differs from how an average-side-character would. As Kyouko is a single mother who has to work hard daily due to finances, and she has Tama, her daughter that needs looking after, you will fill your in-game days helping out the Himuro family for this task on various occasions. I think the conversations between MC and Tama is very cute and fun to read, and I can say it might occupy 30% of the VN’s runtime overall. A lesser consumer could view some snippets with a bad faith lens and raise an eyebrow over some lines, but I think there’s nothing “problematic” in these interactions, and if there was, I would actually be indifferent to it. [b](+) The writing is pretty great.[/b] You could check the first 2 hours and consider a refund otherwise. It might get a bit wordy with some bracketed comments, and again, makes me open the dictionary a couple of times as usual, but it all serves in being enjoyable and descriptive. [b](+) Free adult patch on steam.[/b] Yay? Keep in mind that it’s the most minimal changes of all time since it only practically adds one scene, while modifying to remove bath fog in another. You can still get most of the experience without it, as much as I DO recommend using it. [b](+) Standard sprites & music, but good enough.[/b] [h3](-) Cons:[/h3] [b](-) Early Similes might get a bit much in the first hour.[/b] Frequency may be fine, but some of the exaggerated comparisons made me go “[i]what. why did you think this.[/i]”. Two of my personal favorites in particular are definitely comparing playground roundabout noise to a medieval death torture instrument, and the size of a little girl’s tears to 100 yen coins. It is quite comedic I guess, but I could’ve been better off reading a toned down version of both. At least the next one, which is messy hair to a birds’ nest, felt more apt. [b](-) Slow burn. Like, SLOWER than what you’d expect out of what seems to be a simple romantic VN, and the idea of romance is heavily planted since the first hour.[/b] It was a funny subversion when after the beach trip [spoiler]Kyouko seems to really want confessing, and goes into a record-scratch moment and just says “I appreciate you”,[/spoiler] but I feel like there’s potential for this aspect of “reserved tendencies” behavior of hers to be talked about in the endgame heart-to-heart, and the game simply.. didn’t do as much of it as it could. In a past scene, she WANTED Mitsuki to “stay over longer” after Tama sleeps in a tutor session.. and… what follows is underwhelming. How she invites you to the Ryokan seems to suggest something similar, but again, though what comes to fruition is nice, my expectations were all the way due to the MC monologue themselves. [b]It feels to me the game DANGLES expectations of special stuff happening multiple times and it just.. doesn’t? Thrice?[/b] All of these could be explained as [spoiler]”this is simply her LANGUAGE OF LOVE and her personal pace in romance”[/spoiler], but again, the penultimate ending scene should’ve done more in driving this point home. They talked about how[spoiler]Kyouko is afraid of loving someone again (and I get that it’s the central twist); but doesn’t expand on the “when?” of the line “I wanted kiss you before, you know” from the scene directly preceding that. It doesn’t expand on how both Kyouko and MC practically wanted things to move faster and are too reserved to make the first move and that they should change that in the future of their relationship. They could have confessed and reminisced about what they wanted in past scenes, but didn’t. [/spoiler] [h3]It doesn’t elaborate on how communication in a relationship is important, or how both parties should try to fulfill each other’s needs.[/h3] It does touch on the fact that actions mean more than words, but it doesn’t for the fact that words of requests can bring forth meaningful actions. This would make it so much better if it was all in the ending, but alas. [b](*point partially cut to be posted in the comments*)[/b] [h1]In the end, I feel like Language of Love is still an enjoyable ride. I just wished it was more blatant in showing how love could blossom even more, but this unique take on a potentially awkward pair is pretty cute![h1]

Decent anime story about adulting and love. I love the story. The sound and music is pleasant on the ears, and I like it. The art was alright. I felt Kyouko's face was way too smashed at times. I'm only mostly leaving a review for the annoyingly large "Auto" button when playing on windowed mode (I didn't try anything else.) It's so massive that it covers the text when transitioning from one scene to the next. I was kinda disappointed not being able to read the small tidbits into the next scene. Punished for using "auto" mode, I guess. I still recommend the game. I love ebi-hime's work.

[h1]И встретились два одиночества…[/h1] Прямая, как палка, визуальная новелла без каких-либо выборов в процессе прочтения и сюжетных изысков. И читать мне её было порою скучновато, из-за чего история мной по итогу поглощалась чересчур кусковидно. Пред глазами же периодически вставали ошибки русскоязычной локализации. Вот только если изначально их количество было легко игнорируемым и простительным, то чем дальше в текст... До какого-то определенного момента эти огрехи уравновешивались обаянием самой игры, чей скромный визуал обольщал своей стилистикой, а немногочисленная музыка — своенравной атмосферой. Но как только чаша моего профдеформированного терпения переполнилась, оставаться в потоке произведения стало крайне сложно, а былой комфорт приобрел себе приставку [i]«дис»[/i]. Не спасла положение и местная уникальная фича: [b]«Поговорить с Кёко»[/b]. Та лишь давала некоторые комментарии от лица героини, привязанные к актуальной дате игровой сессии. Потенциально это должно способствовать раскрытию персонажа или на крайний случай хотя бы являться забавным/интересным фактом. Но даже абстрагируясь от содержимого и сомнительной успешности выполнения им своей цели, встроенного календаря в игре нет, а потому для других сообщений дату приходится крутить вручную. Более того, «запрятана» эта вещь в пункте меню [b]«Дополнительно»[/b], что как будто уже не предрасполагает к частому посещению, и куда лучше подошёл бы вариант с размещением в углу уже самого главного меню. Казалось бы, при таких исходных впору давать [i]дёру[/i], а не [i]фору[/i], однако... То ли комплитист во мне взял верх, то ли в игре всё же есть и кое-что ещё, что по-своему притягательно и очаровательно. Ведь [b]«The Language of Love»[/b] — это простая, минималистичная — но такая отдушина средь всего обилия гаремников, где всеми неправдами и вопреки естественности каждая девчонка спешит свеситься на твою шею. Изобилующая романтическими сентиментальностями с примесью рафинированности и излишней традиционно японской вежливостью, та бывает разбавляется репликами о вполне естественных желаниях и щепоткой контента «18+». Эдак неспешная и незатейливая лавстори, где во главе угла — разговоры по душам или же умилительная баллада по струнам этих самых душ. И хоть герои частенько в чём-то повторяются, то, как по мне, только потому, что те так осторожничают из-за собственных сомнений и для большего встречного понимания. Они не привыкли, что их словам кто-то внимает, более того — ценит и считает не менее важными, чем самолично их сказавший. Одно из немногих последствий асоциальности, в коей они оказались. И вот само это социальное наблюдение, ухваченный общественный нерв, где молодые матери-одиночки страдают от предрассудков других и нежелания погрузиться в контекст каждой из них, добавляет слой реализма, [i]«настоящести»[/i]. И пусть этот слой не ровня по красоте слою внешней косметики, но вкупе с юношеским трепетом для меня он — краш и краше всяких отрад для глазок. Это match на уровне внутреннего и чувственного, нежели внешнего и умственного. Щепетильный диалог на языке любви мне уже знакомой и близкой, где встретились два одиночества: я — single player и она — игра с моим единственным онлайном за последнее время.

Очень милая и романтическая история о двух невезучих людей на этом свете. Диалоги интересные, порой даже смешные. Но когда я читал эту новеллу, то казалось, что я смотрю необычный и интересную ромком анимешку. Ценник совсем не кусается, рекомендую!

Pretty good linear romance novel.

This game is overall wholesome. It has a lot of heart. Plus, I'm a sucker for younger man x older woman couples, even if the age difference is only one (chronological) year.

This was a pretty good read! While not my favorite I still had a fun time reading this one
