About
A gritty, medieval fantasy turn-based strategy game where every move is a matter of sacrifice.
Sit at the war table as a king locked in a deadly duel against a rival monarch. Across a hex-based battlefield, command an evolving army of Soldiers, Knights, Wizards, and powerful Legends. With each turn, you must make brutal decisions—sacrifice your own to strengthen the rest, upgrade your forces, and regenerate lost pieces to outwit your opponent.
Played for millennia, this ancient game is more than tradition—your kingdom’s fate hangs in the balance. Challenge your friends in intense 1v1 battles where cleverness trumps brute force.
Think carefully, strike boldly—only the smartest king will rise to legend.
A Duel Demands Two. The King's Legend is a head-to-head experience—built for rivalry, not solitude. Whether side by side or connected through Steam Remote Play, a challenger is required. No friend at the ready? Seek one out. A true duel waits for no one.

It's a cute, if not a bit bare bones and simple, player vs player board game. The vibes and visuals are pretty good. A bit of fun with a friend for a few games, might as well get it since it's free.
Dear Flip studios, if im honest this is an Legend of a game, as someone who finds chess hard to wrap my head around, this is diamond in the rough, And for free mind you, psss with what you have here, this is gold, Its smooth great sound design, Single player? No problem, I just stream it within a discord with a friend, Multiplayer would be very cool for this game, should go for devs! : Edit . Still a good game
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There are no available servers and no player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This is an unusual boardgame where you command an army of various units (Soldiers, Knights, Wizards, Legends) and strategically sacrifice, upgrade, and regenerate your forces to defeat your opponent. It's played out on a small, simple hex map and you move pieces around in a near-Chess-like manner, which is all fine. The problem here, and I dare say the reasons this was a failure here on Steam was the expectation that players are content and that it's the responsibility of gamers to populate servers for the developers, so they don't have to. Doesn't work that way. Including an AI for gamers to play against would have been pivotal in making this more successful... although ultimately this is the kind of game that would do better on mobile phones (and, I daresay, earn the developers some money through ad impressions). So, "The King's Legend" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the Game. They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. The worst part about that is, outside of local play, it implies that this game only ever got played properly once. Ouch. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? Pass on this one. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.
выглядит конечно неплохо, визуально, а механика вроде кажется простой малое поле, малое количество юнитов и их классов, может есть глубина но надо с кем то играть, тут только хот сит ну или через сторонние проги.
Booted up The King’s Legend thinking it was just another action RPG. Turns out it’s a solid little adventure that scratches the right itch. – Combat is straightforward but satisfying — every swing feels purposeful – Skills and upgrades are fun to experiment with, even if the system isn’t super deep – World design is simple but charming, with a few cool surprises – Story is light, nothing epic, but enough to keep you invested – At one point I got hit by a random arrow, yelled “why me?!” and kept playing anyway 7.5/10. The King’s Legend isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s fun, enjoyable, and worth a few hours of your time.
