It is a reasonably priced game for what it is. There are basic instructions that explain things well enough but there are a couple little mechanics that are not explained but easy enough to figure out in a play through.. I have only played solo so far and beat it on difficulty 2 out of 10. There are some issues and plenty of room for improvement but the game is less than five bucks and has more going for it in creativity than some $20+ games. Mark my words, the "Predictor" play style will be cloned, polished, then repackaged within a year into a 40 dollar game
Great Turn Based game mixed with the perfect amount of RNG drops. The Map topography is great and creates perfect getaways or deadly standoffs. Having a blast trying out alternate builds. The different types of enemies as well as their move sets feel appropriate to the individual monster. Would be awesome to see another Biome like an Undead Castle with hidden traps or an Ogre Swamp that has negative effects over time on random levels. The PRICE is UNBEATABLE!! With more development and possibly a PVP Arena I bet this game could skyrocket to the top of the charts. I'm curious to see what direction this Game takes I see alot of potential. If there is DLC in the making I will definitely be getting it. 10/10 Super Fun
For God's sake, why are there two players limit? This game definitely needs mode for 3-4 players.
For 3$ I think you get a fair game for the price. It definitely is still in the very early development but it has potential so I will recommend it. It's a nice little power romp through a horde of enemies sort of similar to a turn based Vampire Survivors, Running around collecting powerups before killing a boss, Not much build diversity yet but the latest patch added some choices and I imagine they will go a lot further with it in the future. Now onto what could be improved: -The game could use a better tutorial than a single page explaining everything at the start, Like an option for a tutorial start at game creation that you follow along for the first 5-10 moves. -The Multiplayer is limited to 2 players and we had a party of 3 ready to try it out. I guessed it would be 3 players since the character select had 3 options on it and there is no information on the steam page (That I saw, I could be wrong!) or any website describing the max number of players in this co-op roguelike. -Single player is pretty tuned but multiplayer has some massive balance issues as you don't share experience meaning if a ranged character ends up getting most of the kills the melee character can lag behind and become dead weight. Another issue is that there are a limited number of upgrades on the map and they are not shared between players meaning it's more of a competition than a co-operative experience in most cases. Each player should have their own spawns and resources rather than the map sharing them between both players at least for the artifacts/equipment.
Wouldn't play it again if you tried to pay me to.
ENG: Predictors is a game exactly as shown in the trailers, I passed it on easy finishing with a level 70 knight who one-shotted enemies and I played it with a friend until the connection told us enough xD It has potential and the dev updates it often. Personally I would like it to have more modes, maybe one oriented to PvP and another to Co-op.
I did not like this game. I do not like this game.
I bought this game on sale, but now I am pretty sure it is worth full price in its current state, even for solo players. But regarding coop. Usually, when playing "For the King" and other turn-based coop games, you always think, "when is my turn?". It's not a big deal here because you and your friend give orders together and then watch the results. (I wish there were more than two players, though, and better matchmaking). About the game itself: First, you learn the game as a tryhard trying to predict enemy moves as a knight/archer. Then you unlock the mage and chill because his auto attacks kill everything (especially if you also buy a fire potion). I hope to see even better potions in the future. For example, "Advanced Necromancy" which makes your minions a little bit clever, so they don't steal your turns staying on enemy portals.
super intense. make sure to prepare your mental for this.
I don't have a whole lot to say about it right now, but this is a good game. If the devs keep up support and new content, this game could go far. Right now its not much to look at, but I'm hoping the updates bring much much more.
