The Itch is a 2D platformer centered around using heart rate as a resource to make objects move, grow, and shoot in order to find a doctor who can cure a deadly virus. The path to the doctor is full of obstacles as you traverse cavernous environments filled with plant life and people.

Its a cute game, but very buggy, I was able to beat the game with only the first key, I found a short cut allowing me to bypass the second bridge and jump to the return without the cure. . . dont get me wrong its great concept and I like the game or I would but its too buggy (I have gotten stuck in the blocks like INSIDE the blocks) and short

The game is very good and really fun game. (For a free game) The game is very good from: Gameplay Music Story Animation And Puzzles Its Worth your time. :} (Trust me) To the developer if you see this: (Keep making a masterpiece like this)
A wonderfully simple game with nice graphics and nice background music. Very calm, almost like ROR-esque but not rock. I will say though - there was a bug that occurred where I could not click past a dialogue box and had to create another save, but it was nothing too bad since I wasn't very progressed into the game yet. I'd also would have liked there to be a bit more dialogue from the game itself on the controls. I hadn't known that you used the down arrow/"s" in order to enter buildings until the second stage, and hadn't known that certain steps had to be done in order to progress that weren't very clear and were stumbled upon accidentally. Otherwise, the game is a great so far and I'd love to see where it ends up in the future. A solid 7/10

The Itch is one of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam. This one has very simple pixel "art" and involves exploring relatively small puzzle/precision platformer levels to collect keys and so on to progress through this relatively short game. There's a "heartrate" gimmick as you must prevent your heartrate getting too high or too low. Some effort went into the level design and overall architecture for the game, making this a genuine and sincere effort at making a platformer. While the resolution can be changed, this just makes the locked assets scale in size rather than actually changing them. The graphics also can't be customised to improve the visuals. A choice was made to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, unfortunately, but I hope to see more work from this developer, perhaps as part of a professional game development company that can make full use of their talents without needing to make budget/quality compromises.
Very confusing 😕 game but still worth a try just didn't click 🤔 for me..
