About
On Sunday the 7th of March, 1936, a group of locals made their way up the long, muddy track to Galley House. As far as any of them knew, the house had stood empty for decades.
Inside, they discovered the bloody aftermath of something horrific.
The authorities were summoned, and the crime scene was eventually cleared away. But nobody ever figured out what happened that dreadful night. It seemed likely that no one ever would.
Now, many years later, you have access to a peculiar machine — one that lets you listen in on echoes of the past. Can you piece together the events behind The Incident at Galley House?

Great puzzle game, fascinating story, interesting twists
Type Help was a wonderful game that transitioned to this format extremely well. What was previously merely text on a page and a lot of reading and typing is made infinitely easier to manage with this interface. With the old game, I'd had a notepad open and was making lots of notes on who each person was, where they are at any given time, and basically had a list of all the codes as I discovered them; this game allows the player to get away with not taking quite as many since the logs are easier to manage with this visual style. I had a lot of fun with this. Anybody that needs a fun puzzler should enjoy this one.

A great detective/deduction game!
I played Type Help a while back and was a bit skeptical of it needing a remake. And a few of the Type Help puzzles are obviated or spoiled a bit by the new GUI instead of the original text interface. So I'd say that overall Type Help is the better puzzle game. However, the hour or so of extra endgame Galley House adds resolves the narrative in a way that is extremely satisfying. As a narrative game, this is head and shoulders above Type Help that just fizzled out at the end. Further, the very very end has a moment that took me a good day to fully understand and it just blew my mind when I did. Because of the very last twist, this has elevated Galley House to one of my favorites of all time. I would absolutely recommend it. I will say that because I liked Type Help a bit better for puzzles, I think the ideal way to play would be to start with Type Help, then wait a month or two for the whole thing to settle, then play Galley House for a more satisfying ending. I don't know if anybody will have the discipline to follow through with this plan, but here you'd get the best of both the puzzles and the best narrative.

Excellent game
Fantastic story and mechanics. Amazing game!
The reason I bought this game was that I saw Olexa play it. I finished his first video on it and got ragebaited into playing it myself. "He's Rupert Galley but also somehow Eddie?" Like, people can share last names. But, anyway, back to the actual game. So, I progressed pretty fast through the game at first and, honestly, I kinda made a lot of inferences without much evidence (and they often were right). However, playstyle aside, seeing the story unravel was incredible. The foreshadowing and reveals, especially the final reveal which I genuinely didn't expect at all, were awesome. I truly do hope that Reya recovers from this level of trauma. As a story by itself, peak, and the gameplay elements just made it that much better. I 100% recommend this game for anyone who likes a bit of mystery. p. s. there were moments where it felt kinda like a horror game, like I was actively imaging that something would pop out at me, and I will neither confirm nor deny that I got scared at some point.
I liked the format of the game and the way that you slowly uncover the mystery, It was an interesting story and I liked the twist a lot. Loved the Roottrees as well, so looking forward to more unique ways to tell stories from Evil Trout
