The Incident at Galley House

A genuinely amazing mystery/puzzle game. It does a great job of teaching you how to play intuitively and stayed fun throughout the entire play time. To me this game feels like a combination of The Roottrees and Dead and Return of the Obra Dinn. I highly recommend if you like either of those games or if you like similar games such as The Seance at Blake Manor, Cultist Simulator, or even Outer Wilds. This is definitely one of those games that you can only play for the first time once.

Played the proof of concept on itch first (loved it and it's what got me fully into puzzle games) and eagerly awaited this full version once I learned about it. It did NOT disappoint!! Great cast. Great assets. Great spins to make it interesting for people who had played the OG!

Amazing game and a great mystery. I was able to find out what to do most of the time without the hints, but the hints did come in handy. Seance machine mechanics worked great and no bugs from what I found.

I'm not fully finished yet but this game has been very engaging and I love the gaming mechanics of it.

I played "Type Help" more than a year ago and have been looking forward to this version of the game ever since then. Even if you played the original this is well worth your time.

Evil Trout has done it again. As a fan of the Roottrees Are Dead this offered a nice twist on the "guess who" gameplay models that Obra Dinn initially inspired. Atmospheric, tells a great story, and respects fans of prior work with a little discount (and hey if you didn't play that one you get two games and a kickass DLC on the cheap!). If you like puzzle games in the vein of the Golden Idol series I believe this is definitely one that will satisfy a similar urge, so why not see what's going on with Rupert Galley?

Extremely solid puzzle mystery game. The gameplay with the machine is very novel and does a great job at making you want to learn everything you can about what happened at the house and its inhabitants. I've played the original so it's hard to judge this one fresh, but I'd say it did a fantastic job of updating it to a more "fully-fledged" game, with the voice acting, soundtrack and artwork making many story sequences hit a lot harder. A part of me prefers the simple and dry text adventure of Type Help, but The Incident at Galley House is a wonderful experience on its own for newcomers and returning players alike.
