The Home County

This is the cosy game I've been looking for. Found through TikTok and couldn't be happier. I'm really enjoying the world that has been built, and learning how to develop my village. The characters are charming and it's easy to gravitate to certain ones. The world is beautiful and it truly does give a wonderful old english vibe to it I feel the collections system & unlockable traits could perhaps work based on how many items you have contributed instead of how many collections are completed as I'm finding it difficult to feel rewarded for contributing as a new player, but i may be bias as I enjoy Coral Island who uses this mechanic and have never played Stardew Valley which it seems this takes inspiration from based on the TikToks i saw. I do enjoy collecting the items and contributing, and love that when you have collected something it tells you in your inventory if you need it as a collectable, this is incredibly useful and saves so much time. I love the fishing mechanic and have spent many in game days just fishing, and i enjoy the tasks to increase inspiration while painting, however i was slightly confused at first what this was so a small tutorial on this may help new players. A mark on a map could be handy too to let you know where to find your tasks. Overall i thoroughly enjoy this game so far, to the point that this is my first review. I feel this game is only going to improve, it is well worth the price it is. The developer seems to truly care about this game and i have no doubt that through his passion this will become everything he and the fans want and more.
