The Guilt and the Shadow

I found this game during the steam summer sale of 2017 and I fell in love with the art style. There are very few keys you press to play (the arrow keys, Q,W,E, and I) and no hint section if you get stuck somewhere. This game forces you to be patient. The puzzles aren't overly difficult. And they match the story of a very sad man trying to figure himself out. My one con is there are events that you activate that almost blew out my eardrums. No matter how much I tried to turn it down it was so loud. I give this game 7/10 Chicken Whistles.

The guilt and the shadow - это психоделический приключенческий платформер, выполненный в серых тонах и стилизованный под карандашные рисунки. Мне очень понравилась игра,правда есть один маленький минус - это перевод на русский язык,но,в принципе,суть понятна. Из плюсов я отметила шикарное звуковое сопровождение,очень расслабляет :) и атмосферную рисовку. Каждая деталь, каждый рисунок - все прекрасно прорисовано. В The Guilt and the Shadow нам предстоит узнать историю маленького и очень своеобразного человека и помочь ему преодолеть жизненные трудности с наименьшими потерями. Игра рассказывает о том, как мужчина переносит потерю своей любимой женщины («Пустота в сердце и дыра в рассудке, которые она после себя оставила»), параллельно с чем он теряет голову и сходит с ума. Так же можно отследить рассказ о прошлом, о смерти, о болезни и о тонкой линии между жизнью и безумием. 10 повешенных человечков из 10

It's mostly walking and solving simple puzzles, so might not be for everyone. Great atmosphere and story.

the game is amazing!! it can influence you for yourself, it can help you understand sometimes more easily the people around you an the story is completed and complicated. about the environment is a platform game and has beautiful background. the music and the black grey and white colors are what you need for this. i had left speechless. i love it.

Tags: Adventure - Sidescroll Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Unity engine black&white maze navigation with slow animations, no Xbox360 pad, no voice acting and limited plot. It is a bottom of the barrel sidescroll adventure. There is two hours of content according to the few whom decided to slog through it, most enjoyed the animation work and so called ambiance of the game but I was left unhooked and bored almost from the beginning. Archiving in hidden library.

I think some of the lore/story gets a little lost in translation, but because I got this game when it was on sale, I don't regret buying it. The backgrounds are absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere is wonderful. There's one particular puzzle that's REALLY difficult. All in all, I think my experience was positive. Definitely not negative, but not stellar, either. I think if some of the plot didn't get lost in translation it would be better; also, allowing us to read the clues to the puzzle more than once would be nice....
