Steuerung und Gameplay (2/5): Die Steuerung von The Great Ocean ist nur durchschnittlich. Sie fühlt sich manchmal unpräzise und schwerfällig an, was zu frustrierenden Spielerlebnissen führen kann. Die Spielmechanik lässt ebenfalls zu wünschen übrig und könnte verbessert werden. Grafik und Design (2/5): Die Grafik des Spiels erreicht leider nicht die erwartete Qualität. Die Unterwasserlandschaften sind zwar vorhanden, aber die Detailgenauigkeit und visuelle Tiefe lassen zu wünschen übrig. Die Fischmodelle wirken uninspiriert und wenig überzeugend. Technische Umsetzung (2/5): Es gibt Berichte über technische Probleme und Fehler im Spiel, die das Spielerlebnis beeinträchtigen können. Solche Probleme sollten vor der Veröffentlichung behoben werden, um ein reibungsloses Spielerlebnis zu gewährleisten. You'll tag sea life with a scanner as you help clean the ocean and discover several secrets hidden beneath. You can pick up objects, laser obliterate trash, or weld objects as well. For the price, I thought it was a lot of fun. The submarine has full 6 degrees of movement and it is a bit tricky to operate using the joysticks on the Quest motion controllers. However, it's fun to operate as well, especially once you get the hang of it. It's not perfect though, the visuals could be better, but they are acceptable given all that you can do. I thought the turn speed on the sub was a bit too slow. Also, I wasn't a fan of the main hub area that is teleport only and snap turn only. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 72 fps (default on Quest 3). I did come across one bug during the tutorial where the quest didn't want to complete (to move the sub up and down), but I just kept moving up and down and around and it finally completed. You can play this game comfortably seated. There are several comfort options in the settings. [b]Rate 7.5/10. Already worth the $8 bucks I paid and looking forward to the finished product. It's nice, even if it seems a bit "old" for a 2024 game, but when it's on sale it's a must buy: you clean the environment and learn a lot of the submarine fauna (and you help whales and environment in real life!) You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/JCQWY9TzoOU
