Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 13 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Has your dog ever stared into the darkness, barking at something you couldn't see? Maybe they've growled at a quiet hallway in the dead of night or watched an empty corner of your ceiling, tracking something invisible with eerie focus.
As the family dog, it's your job to protect your loved ones from danger—especially from the kind they can't see. In The Good Dog: Chasing Shadows, step into the paws of a loyal dog defending its owners from paranormal entities.

In the Fetch game mode, you're tasked with venturing out into a desolate world to retrieve supplies your family needs to survive. Explore abandoned towns and decaying buildings while avoiding the terrifying entities that haunt the places you once called home. As the days pass, your job will become harder. Resources will spawn less often and farther apart, and your daily resource target will become more demanding, all while the dangers outside grow stronger.
Explore three large maps at launch, each with a unique selection of landmarks and weather conditions.

Use your keen sense of smell to search the area for tools. Dig up hidden items to help fight back against the paranormal. Bark at certain immaterial entities to disperse them, or at physical entities to draw their attention away from your family.
And if all else fails, use your teeth.
In the world of the Entities, however, even dogs need a helping hand. Utilize technology repurposed by your human companions to get the job done: flashlights to see better in the dark, a portable speaker to distract enemies, and even a robot dog companion to help you carry supplies.

With over twenty breeds to choose from, you can tailor your gameplay to your preferred style. Will you play as a small breed, perfect for slipping into tight spaces and evading danger, or a larger breed with more health and attack power to take on threats head-on? Will you prioritize a breed with high stamina, tracking capabilities, stealth, or something else entirely? Whatever your approach, there will be a breed that suits your playstyle.

Definitely needs better How To Play instructions. Got killed a lot cause i could not figure out how to follow scents vs carry items vs attack enemies. ALSO no Samoyed option nor Norwegian Elkhounds and that's just rude ;P
still has some work to be done obviously but for a solo dev its actually pretty good in my opinion, i hope to see the game grows not only in content but player count as well. dev actually listens to their players unlike most so that fact alone makes me happy.
loving the game definitely fun and the atmosphere is good bugs need to be fixed but overhaul i love it Alpine map needs optimizing but still enjoyable got jump scared by the swarm entity many times, entities with different weakness is a plus for me, need more dogs and coats... accessibility needs more colour changes and more options... keep it up i look forward to more of the game in the future... more emotes like sleep, sit, etc more likes a hospital or airfield, full scrap yard.. whatever you fancy i support it, oh need more levels up to 100+ or anything even small tasks for extra exp love the exp bar keep that.

A little buggy at times, but this game has a lot of potential. I've been enjoying it so far and can't wait to see where it grows from here.
Its a good game for sure but id wish the robo dog was faster, you rely on it to have extra storage but its so slow that its no point in using it.
still hope to see more updates but honestly it is a blast to play with friends but kinda boring when playing alone
World feels very empty and enemies are scarce. I was able to run around for quite some time without running into anything or feeling pressured. Played on mouse and keyboard and it feels clunky, especially when trying to pick up items and put them in your bag. It's just a very mid Lethal Company clone but with dogs, nothing special really.
I really do like this game, I do hope that in time same of the bug well be fit because it is a good idea for a game
So while it is an early access game, I do like the concept, I like the numerous dogs, and I do indeed like playing, but some things to address. So First off, Alpine level, very laggy, and Robo-Dog (Or as I've been lovingly calling him, Larry) has been getting stuck on the snow, When I went to the far off radio tower, he was just following from INSIDE THE WAREHOUSE!! I had to run all the way back, get the fuse, and run back to the radio tower then run home again with a can of tuna, lol. Another thing, if you're going to make a game, please make it stream friendly, I have friendos that like to watch it and I don't know if its the game or me (I don't think its me, I have a pretty decent computer, both space and ram wise and even spec wise). Three buddies of mine have been saying they can't watch the game because its been flashing really bad. And last thing? Alpine is VERY lag heavy, like it does sort itself out, but I thought I'd put that out there. It is a great game, just, the occasional not being able to interact with items sometimes, the flashing, the lag, and Larry getting stuck is kinda detrimental. Can't wait to see what other content comes out though.
been following the game for a bit and I'm excited to see what it can become! The first week or so of me playing there were a lot of things bugged and such but the developer has been working hard to fix everything that has been brought up by the community; for this being an early game it has so much potential <3
