The Feathered Serpent

I've played A LOT of rogue-likes, and this one is at the top of my list! It's super challenging and rewarding to get a little bit farther each time and see more of the game. If only I was good at platforming!

Really fun rougelite, Ive been following the game for a while and backed on kickstarter. Some of the early bosses are easy to cheese but i'm very excited to see the storylines of the loveable NPC's. Lots of fun so far and worth the money

I've always had a deep seated hatred for dinosaurs because my buddy has this super annoying MTG dinosaur deck. But this game makes me wish that asteroid hadn't killed the dinosaurs 66 million years ago so that I could kill them with modern technology and make them go the way of the dodo. Also, 10/10 shekel physics. Would shekel again. The rush I get chasing down every last speck of gold is akin to the feeling I get from playing Spelunky.

[b] Initial Impressions [/b] I'm having so much fun with this game. The first thing that stands out is the overall style of the game. You don't often get to see the Aztec setting used and I really enjoyed the aesthetic. Some of the items I found are super fun too. |[spoiler] Particularly the popcorn gun, like everything about this weapon is so fun. From the animation and sound, seriously so satisfying. Makes you want to get popcorn XD [/spoiler] Ngl, I'm terrible with rouge-likes (personally I tend to drop them for one reason or another) but honestly, I'm pretty addicted to this game. The game is challenging but not to the point where you just want to give up. As soon as one run ends, I immediately want to go back and do another. I'm really going to try and clear this. I've also been watching streams of the game and I know I barely touched the surface. The sheer scale of this game is not just impressive, but considering the price? Holy crap, it really is a steal. [b]~ The Game's Development ~ [/b] Personally, knowing how a game was made makes me love it even more. In this case, I've been keeping up with the dev's work and I'm really impressed (and low key inspired). The dev made everything from the art and the music by himself. I'm pretty sure he taught himself everything. When you play this game, you seriously won't be able to tell just one guy made this whole thing. Seriously, all passion that he put in really comes through. Anyone's that curious about the creation of this game can find the dev logs on YouTube or streams on Twitch. [b] Minor Feedback [/b] The game itself runs great. I haven't had any crashes or anything major, but there are a few bugs. Hotfixes and patches go out quick so that's not a concern for me at all. The only word of caution I have is that if you tend to get motion sick, you may find the camera to be a bit janky. I'd go into the settings and adjust some of the settings to help. (Fair warning, it may change a bit of the game play) Honestly nothing really negative to say. I'm having a ton of fun so far! I'm really looking forward to whatever the dev puts out next :)

This game is super fun. If you are into indie games with lots of dinosaurs and arrows then you should download this game. The game-play is fun and the artwork is amazing. I purchased this game for 14.99. I like that it is not expensive and it should be entertaining for hours. I have seen Matthew Young streaming on twitch and Youtube under Tsundown. He interacts while coding and he is responsive to questions on his live stream. He has put lots of wish-list items into the game. If you want a personal item placed then it is entirely possible as he is the sole person designing and coding the game. I still can't believe that one person did everything from coding, artwork, sounds, game-play, story-line, etc. Matthew has done a stellar job and I look forward to defeating the game. I hope he does other projects as well.

Super fun game with an amazing story and it looks like a ton of hard work was put into this game. I can't believe it was made by one guy. one of my favorite games this year. super cheap for how amazing this game is. I 100% recommend this game.

"The Feathered Serpent" is a fantastic blend of Aztec mythology, rogue-like excitement, and stunning pixel art. The artwork is captivating and pulls you right into an ancient, magical world. Even with a busy schedule, I find myself returning to this game. It's perfect for quick 15-20 minute sessions, yet so engaging that it's hard to put down! The variety of items and the way they change up the game play keep things fresh and interesting every time. I can see myself enjoying this game for a long time. If you love visually striking and engaging games, "The Feathered Serpent" is a must-play!
