About
The Middle Ages was the harshest period in human history, but we want to tell you another story, your own story, with the help of the innovative "Generative History" system. Experience endless adventures, fun, brutal battles, and a bit of charisma with the first video game in history to offer infinite entertainment. And of course, thanks to its innovative "Infinite Entertainment" system, experience romance, betrayal, act as a good Samaritan, and be the hero of your own story. And remember this: "Man does not live by fighting alone."
The Fallen Night is a medieval action game with a quality combat system based on research, something that can amaze you, with a great aspiration, to become an Online RPG, it is also a multi-genre game capable of giving you a variety of entertainment (this feature is currently disabled).
We believe it is the authentic experience of a medieval battle because just as martial arts have shown on the streets, there is always a wild instinct in our actions under stress, in addition to the fact that the vast majority carried an axe or a mace and not a sword because they were better at piercing armor.
Whether you want to play story mode, MMORPG, or skirmish, you can still adjust the game settings for a more personalized gameplay and greater satisfaction, whether by removing magic or increasing realism.

I'm not really sure if The Fallen Night is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. There's no evidence, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. This is not helped that the developers other projects are demonstrably asset flips. The Fallen Night seems to have been an attempt to make a ripoff of Chivalry, but it doesn't even have PvP gameplay (and you can just copy an Unreal Engine blueprint to do that, so it's not hard). The game was abandoned immediately at launch, over a year ago, and has received ZERO updates. It blew past the developers commitment to complete the game without any notification or admission of failure from the developer. The game will never be completed. The developer is working on other games such as "Bulletproof", which is a Synty Studios asset flip. And here's the thing... if this "developer" can create his own assets that look as good as the ones in this game, why is he then using Synty assets in his next game? Yeah, come on. We all know what's happening here, it starts with "A", ends in "p" and has "sset fli" in the middle. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The controls and game handling are notably very clunky, sluggish and unsmooth here. It's janky and unsatisfying to play... and any experienced gamer will tell you, the handling, responsiveness and general gameplay feel of the control scheme must be well polished for this kind of game to succeed. Unfortunately, this is something the developer seems to have phoned in, with little to no apparent gameplay testing. They dropped the ball on this one. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game all-time peak player count was only ONE player. That's right, only one person ever played this at a time. When I played this for the purposes of reviewing it, I equalled the peak player count for the game. OUCH. The only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Unethically, the developer sold keys to this abandoned Early Access game into cheap, nasty game bundles, where they knew it would be advertised and sold as a complete PC game. This seems to have been done in an attempt to mislead gamers into buying a knowingly faulty, defective and incomplete product. When a developer does this for a game they have zero practical intention of completing, this is essentially a scam, an intention to get paid for a broken/unfinished product. Often this is done as an exit strategy, as the developer takes the money and runs. No refunds have been given, the developer kept all the money they took from gamers. Another unethical act of this developer, knowing full well that this game is abandoned and they will never complete it, they are deliberately trying to scam gamers into buying it by offering it on discount and selling keys to the game from third party key resellers. It's impossible to "accidentally" discount a game. The developer looked at their abandoned game, and instead of doing the right thing and removing it from Steam, they instead doubled-down and tried to scam even more people into paying for it. Greedy, and completely unethical. Doing the wrong thing, on purpose, for money. This is not okay. Furthering the unethical nature of this developer, while they are selling this incomplete game under Valve's failed Early Access program, they're abusing that program, and not working on this game full time, as they have other projects in the works. That means there's ZERO confidence anyone who buys this in Early Access will receive a complete game, and it's possible that they're being scammed. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? The Fallen Night has the ridiculous price of $10 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. For comparison, the $10 asking price for this game could get you games like "Alien: Isolation", "7 Days to Die" or "Kingdom Come Deliverance". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
I didn't expect too much from this, but ended up very much enjoying the skirmishes. Looks like they have a lot planned for it too, bring on the patches. Good work so far.
