About

The Explorator is a game inspired by Atmospheric FPS with a cell-shaded visual style. As an Explorator, you take your courage in both hands to set foot on the most dangerous island in the known world, Ospolis. Prepare yourself well, as many challenges and obstacles await you.

Legend has it that the ancient city of Atlantis lies beneath this island, which has been suddenly invaded by goblins and monsters that have emerged from the bowels of underground tunnels bored by unwary explorers confident of finding this famous city. You'll have to traverse the region zone by zone to make contact with these demon-encircled explorers and help them solve the mystery of the attack.
Experience a refreshingly original combination of cell shading and handmade 2D animation
Immersive and atmospheric First Person Shooter. Be transported to the strange and beautiful world of The Explorator, with a gameplay inspired by the Stalker and Metro games, with this oldschool side of the doom-like's 2D animations.
Survival mechanics: search the surroundings to find equipment in the adventure, improve your character to go further.
Non-linear semi-open world, freely explore the levels with numerous side quests and secrets to discover. But be careful not to get lost.
You will have access to a quest log and information to help you in the expedition, their contents may indicate unsuspected treasures.
Environmental obstacles : The world of The Explorator is littered with elemental dangers, be careful where you step, all sorts of traps await you: thunder, toxic gas, erupting lava, chemical explosions.
You will have access to a wide range of weapons and armor to overcome the many creatures that roam the island. You can choose your style of combat with heavy weaponry or be more agile with light armor and short-range weapons.
The game offers 3 chapters, each with unique locations and characters, with increasingly tough enemies to face as we descend into the abyss.
Light RPG System, Inventory and weight management: feel free to collect or buy items that will help you on your expedition, but you won't be able to carry everything. As well as many attributes that will improve your character in different ways (better protection, speed, firepower).
The game's visuals are unique and handmade, you will discover many places dotted with history and mystery, and an atmosphere that will give you the feeling of traveling.
You will meet characters and stories that will make you want to go further in the adventure, in the hope of discovering the location of the city of Atlantis
2D animated characters that add something vibrant to the 3D world around them

I get it, When it comes down to Early Access games in general. Many times a game is released their is different tiers of stability. That being said it's Early Access an though many will fault the Developer I wont be one of those people. BUT I will be pointing out the problems in a small video I did talking about my almost 2 hours experience playing The Explorator while showing off some of the Really big places in the world. In terms of what I think about the game? Well I guess you'll have to check out the video. But personally as a spoiler it has a uniqueness to it that makes me want to watch it grow and develop https://youtu.be/1h_dY3Od8TI

Le jeu es un peu brut mais super prometteur c'est super rare que j'attende avec impatience la mise a jour d'un jeu la c'est le cas
Game looks great, picked it up because I loved the goofy aesthetic and the very atmospheric level design. The player's animations are rough and everything seems to be a little rough around the edges, but these things could be overlooked. However, the game seems to be terribly optimized and stuttered horribly even on the lowest graphics setting and resolution. Ran well enough during the intro sequence, but as soon as I got off the boat the frames dropped to the point where the game was practically unplayable. Not sure if it's just my machine, its no powerhouse, but I can run most modern games just fine, so it seems odd that this would give it trouble. Refunding for now, but would love to play this again if these issues can be resolved.
It's so pretty!!!!!!
I love the art style of this game, the inventory system was a pleasant suprise and so far enjoying the exploration Looking forward to future updates. I hope they add more destructible objects with items inside, to incentivize exploration. Combat was suprisingly difficult and required good use of crouch, prone and cover to overcome enemies. I dunno how to describe it, but it felt like playing FPS mode of walking through a theme park as a kid, like it just gave me that type of wonderment. Great job devs.
