I can't believe I had to take a trip over the border (THANKFULLY I LIVE NEXT TO IT) and claim my residence to be my friends place. JUST SO I CAN WRITE A REVIEW ON MY LEWD GAMES. there goes my holiday.... is this overblown? yes. am I overreacting? yes? is it worth it to spite german censorship and steam blocking adult games instead of just letting me show my ID? YES! because I happen to be EXTREMELY petty. anway enough waffling to the game. I am blown away, while it's not really much graphic wise in terms of modern graphics. it has charm. I even know some of the artists in the credits due to.... research... when I made a comment to the dev on their discord about the apothecary having a broken interaction they fixed them within hours, and the thing I disliked about the speed at which the stat messages vanish? .. they literally added a duration slider roughly a day later O_o?? the hell? how are they so fast? the character/party creation thing even has a template save option... take note of that bethesda -_- I'm sick of modding that in. now excuse me while I uhh..... research. more effective routes...
I played the old free version of the game and I won't say that I liked it, but when I saw that the developer, according to his assurances, improved and polished the game by transferring the game to a new engine, I decided to try again. And I was disappointed, let's start with the fact that most of the game icons are placeholders, an Elven bow and a monocle will have absolutely the same appearance, The characters that we have to bring to the portal also do not have much uniqueness behind them, of course there is a character setting, but it also loses meaning when at the final stage of the journey, bimbo joined me, at first they showed me a high-quality beautiful girl, but after taking her to the party, I saw the same ugly and faded image as other NPCs, it would be better if the author made 20-30 high-quality prepared portraits, than making such a cheap attempt at variety. Provided that there are 20 NPCs in the maxmimum group, this would be more than enough. But these are really small things, against the background of a really huge problem, Not all transformations have an illustration to themselves, once my character became the embodiment of an elemental god and left my party, but in the tab of former partners he had all the same unsightly picture of his face. The other side of the coin is the unstable quality of these illustrations. At the beginning of the game, there is an opportunity to choose a transformation for my main character and on the third run I chose a Bimbo Elf, but at the moment when I realized that the transformation was completed, I saw just a blonde elf that had no noticeable curves compared to just a female protagonist, from which it resembled an ordinary gender bender. The illustrations, as I understand it, were made by different people and at different times, from which the jumps in quality and style are simply amazing, in a bad sense of the word. The gameplay part of the game is not too complicated, at a normal level of difficulty it is enough not to be an idiot to bring at least 80% of the party to the portal. The unpleasant aspect is two points. 1 - the success of the action is determined by the cube, and the success of the cube is determined by the complexity of game setting, which is why high levels of difficulty make the loss almost guaranteed. 2 - the transformations of the NPCs, although they are essentially gradual, but the gameplay simply turns off the character until he turns out to be healthy, without giving interesting interactions or temporary advantages. In fact, giving two stages of changes is sick and finally turned. Only rare interactions such as with the magic lamp of the genie give a 100 advantage. What can I say in the end, the game, despite its release, is far from what can be called a fully finished game, I would call it version 0.5 when the basic mechanics have already been defined, but a noticeable expansion of the game is required so that a feeling of the finished product appears.
If you love The Oregon Trail and The Odyssey AND transformations, and adult related short stories with Transformations, with Roleplaying, and Management and some awesome pictures.... You will enjoy this. I have played this game a LOT over on other sites - both the original more basic version, through the beta testing stage. So take that into account when reading this - I do enjoy this game, and the story telling, the pictures, and the replayability. Now this is a "fetish" type game (read Adult content) - I am going to admit that right off the bat. But if you are interested in Transformation related content - which is not just "transformation only" then this has a lot of interesting stories that go through the game - and what story you see is random (though you can work on that through settings - more later). But not only your party can be changed, the MC also has the capability of being transformed, and there are stories related to that also - and the interactions you have with the party can also change. The main point of this game is to TRY and stop your party not getting transformed/lost, and stolen away from the mission of getting to the portal and escaping Aphrodisia. However.... that is not easy - and if you play in normal mode, not giving yourself any advantage, you will find the management of this a challenge. As the saying goes - sometimes it is better to leave someone transformed into a Nymph, then to lose more of your party. The pictures on this are a mix of artist so you will find different styles, but the overall feel off what is wanted to be shown is really helped through the pictures. Now this game has been around for a little while in some other sites, but this is a new and massively improved version. It has more going for it, more content, more engagement, and the whole thing now feels like a Management Role-playing Game - though without the stat levelling (though items can help manage that) I would suggest play the demo - again not all the content on this would be great for all, but one of the really wonderful things added to this game is the capability to customise the play through - be it removing elements you are not interested in - or making sure you see content you have not seen yet. This is a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon, relaxing in a game where the reading is as important as the management, and learning about the world. So why do I like it... well mostly the world building that is included in these stories. I typically play with some of the adult stuff turned off (since that isn't something I am really interested in). The stories that can happen are fun to read, and you can tell there was a lot of effort put into building a universe that feels deep and has a lot of context. And then the other thing I like is the management. The money, and the good management is challenging enough as it is, but then add in the need to keep people healthy, sane, and non-transformed... that is an extra level of challenge. I have yet to get a full party to Niu Heym when I play on normal - and that is fine, because the losses you have along the way are just as important. What I would like to see more is a way for Workshop (because I want more of this game!), and I would love to continue living in the world of Aphrodisia learning more about the characters, the races, the history, and the future. I look forward to future projects from Blue Fairy Media LLC.
Just purchased. Having a lot of fun so far. One of my party members got turned into a hawk and decided to abandon us. Cursed items are wrecking my party because most of them turned into snakes and ran away. 10/10, intend to play again.
I tried to like this game but it left much to be desired. If you want a good sex text like game, just go play Lilith's throne or Flexible Survival. Both are free to play. Sure Aphrodisia has different endings, but it's just not worth it. Even after completing two full journeys as a man and a woman. It didn't feel that different from each other by exception of your chosen transformation and even that was a mayor let down for me. If you still want to play this game, just buy it with a good discount. Again, there are better sex text games out there and for free. Even if you are more interested in the Oregon like trail game play, it's just meh...
The Oregon Trail pero con mucho fetichismo TF/Corruption.
Overall it is a great game to play. There is so much content and a lot of replayability. I would recommend it to anyone.
I feel like it's got less reviews than it really should because of its target audience but genuinely pretty fun and wacky, that Rimworld quality of "oh that sucks my guy mind melded with a tiger, turned into a topless conquistador woman, and then had a hangover so bad he turned into a 5 headed hydra". As a solo game dev I feel the need to leave a review, thing deserves more
Super fun game, has a good variety of options and very well made! Runs smooth like better, has fantastic writing and amazing art. Overally a great pick-up!
It's like Oregon Trail but Corruption of Champions stuff happens to you the whole time
