The ENDLESS BACKGATE is a Survival Horror Rogue-Lite where you must face anomalies and recover all missing posters.
Trapped within the deep, dark underground passage known as the "Backgate," players must collect the target quota of missing posters to see the next day. Utilize every method at your disposal to survive an environment swarmed by "Remnants" while completing a quota that increases daily. On the 7th day, you may finally regain your freedom.
Anomalies Known as "Remnants" and the Manual
This place was once an underground passage connecting major Sarras Corp facilities, but due to "a certain incident," life-threatening anomalies called "Remnants" have begun to emerge. Each Remnant possesses a unique mechanism and a corresponding countermeasure, all of which are recorded in a manual created through countless trials and errors. Read the manual carefully, assess the Case, and respond swiftly.
Something Behind the Doors
Due to Sarras Corp's successful research results, disappearances near the facility have become frequent, leading to many missing posters being put up. You have been dispatched to prevent the resulting rumors and conspiracy theories. It is a simple task of recovering missing posters that appear behind one of the five doors—but Remnants may also emerge through those same doors, causing complications. Open the doors and recover every missing poster.
V.E.I.L., the Scanner to Assist You
Players will work alongside a scanner known as V.E.I.L.. V.E.I.L. assists with the tasks at hand by following the player to open doors, search for posters, and signal the location of resource boxes or Remnants. It may even be capable of more. Whatever you do, ensure V.E.I.L. does not perish before you.
Goal: Duty and Survival
To ensure duties are carried out safely within the threat-filled Backgate, headquarters has authorized the use of some internal resources. The company is always mindful of its employees' safety. Complete your assignment perfectly by utilizing over 15 types of items and systems designed to favor your survival.
