with mods yes, without no.
I actually bought this game about 4-5 years ago and played it with customized mods that I picked and chose myself based on youtube videos. However, the mods eventually broke the game and it became unplayable. Fast forward to 2026, I reinstalled the game fresh and use the wabbajack FUS mods - which is a long list of mods that have been tested - and it has been absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this game to any Skyrim or this type of RPG. The graphics are amazing and the game is mostly smooth. It crashed on me a handful of times, but totally worth it in the grand scheme of things.

Climbing Apocrypha and slaying Alduin is an amazing achievement to have
If you're willing to mod the game (which everyone is, it's Skyrim) then get this game on a sale. Otherwise don't bother. Pros) The VR version of Skyrim really adds a level of visual depth that the first one really lacks. The mountains and halls loom over you and everything looks so much better. When I walked into Winterhold, its main spire was perfectly framed by the archway at the entrance, the inside of Dragonsreach was so much more imposing, and so on and so forth. Archery was also really satisfying and honestly even more overpowered than in the base game because you can shoot as fast as you can draw the arrow. So if you want to play a Stealth Archer again, honestly worth it in VR. CONS!!!) Character Creation: You can create your character as normal, but the only thing you get to see are your hands. They never change either as you put on different gloves, they're just naked hands. Combat: Bethesda had to reduce the size of your colliders and hitboxes so that you can interact with the world more easily, but they only changed it for YOU. Everyone else is the same as base Skyrim. So if you're in the middle of a fight and you try to back up to recover, your enemies can still hit you with melee even if it looks like they're 10 feet away from you. This was most notable with enemies wielding two-handed weapons. Also if you get too close, the game will push you away from your target. Probably not noticeable in most gameplay, BUT REALLY AGGRIVATING IN A FIST BUILD! Also, NPC colliders take precedent over yours which becomes very obvious when fighting dragons in melee. As the dragon moves around to attack you, its neck acts like a hook and drags you around them, which disoriented me quite often. It also happened a lot with draugr that were casting spells because they stiff-arm you with the casting hand. Finally, bows. I already said bows were overpowered, but that's also a problem. You can fight really strong enemies really early with no difficulty. I was hunting giants and mammoths almost as soon as I got the Whiterun, killing them before they even got close to melee. In Short) It's bad, and only mods make it worth while. Just because you can mod a game doesn't mean the game is good. Every mod is a criticism of the game, and Skyrim has A LOT of mods...
Всё что пишут абсолютная правда. Если ты не хочешь долбится с модами по 8 часов, что-бы сделать игру хоть чут чут лучшу, не лезь.
its alright. but its great if you mod it though. wish the base game had more vr features.
