Played the original a few years ago, and spent a lot of hours building up my character in Skyrim. With the release of the VR version, I have once again spent many hours rediscovering what made the game so great, especially with the many mods and game patches available in Vortex although I sometimes have to launch the game without these mods to carry out certain actions. Overall, very happy with the game which was a bargain during one of Steam's many sales.

Its really good if you have the right mods but otherwise would most definently recommend.

Game is awesome if you only use mods. I recommend using M.G.O. mod pack from wabbajack and load the Skyrim VR from Mod Organizer 2. its a whole new game and far better than any VR game out there!

With the proper mods, you could live inside this game.

If you've played skyrim before and enjoyed it then Skyrim VR offers a whole new way to look at it. You can be emmersed in familiar spaces as if there in real like. While it's a lazy port snd not worth the base price it is worth it when discounted to like 14 pounds

Mods are a must

I would not recommend this game without pearning to install mods for it first, because thats tricky. Honestly the game withouth mods is pretty bad but with a handful of QoL mods it becomes amazing, just feels like a kinda lazy port without any mods

Skyrim VR has great potential, but the experience feels rough. Performance issues like stuttering and lag break immersion, and many mechanics weren’t redesigned for VR, leaving the game feeling clunky and unpolished. It’s still impressive to stand inside Skyrim’s world, but the technical problems make it hard to fully enjoy. For me it just feels like a cheap port to VR, and steam wont let me refund because it was over the 14 day limit.
