The Divine Speaker: A Bounty Hunter's First Christmas

I loved the original The Divine Speaker and, feeling in a holiday mood, decided to get this one to "stay in the realm" of it just a little longer... Big mistake. I understand that this was originally a Patreon exclusive and therefore doesn't need to be a fully fleshed-out story, but I just left wondering who this story was actually for. A lot of the characters seemed to be written very out-of-character to a cringe-inducing degree (which is worrying when the same writer is involved!) that made it feel like I was reading someone's hastily put together fanfiction. There were a lot more anachronisms than in the original game which bothered me, as well as minor plot inconsistencies in the language used. Since this was a Patreon exclusive, it tries to hype up the prequel (which at that point hadn't been released yet) by making foreboding comments about characters' backstories but now just comes off as a weird ad to make you buy it (which I already did! and by god I hope the writing is more on par with the first game...). I really wanted to like the short story, I loved The Divine Speaker and I loved all LIs equally so I was happy to see any continuation because the story has been ever-present in my brain since I finished reading it but... this was not it, and unfortunately soured my view on the whole thing a little, which is why I would not even recommend it to buy on sale. The art was lovely, though! Additionally, bottoming seems to be viewed as degrading and embarrassing in this story and I think it would be good for the writer to examine why they feel that way. I don't like leaving bad reviews (especially such scathing ones, damn 😭) but given how positive the other reviews are, I just wanted to provide a different perspective.

Very sweet and short, perfect for Christmas and it's a great way to support the creators! I only wish we could've had specials about Fawn and Cyne too TT Now I want to replay the main game again, GAH!

このゲームは続編なので、The Divine Speakerをプレイしてからこれをプレイしてください。 カップルが付き合った後の波乱万丈とはなぜこうも可愛いのでしょうか。 Leosルートの後なのでLeosがずっと可愛いのですが、 お馴染みのメンバーも本編の苦難を乗り越えた後なのでみんな幸せそうで私も幸せでした。 TDSが好きだったのであれば絶対にやったほうがいいです。 あとRaen(top)/Leos(bottom)は本当にずっとずっとずっと切望していたので本当に命が助かりました。 私に都合の良い夢かと思った。

Pour ceux qui ont aimé le jeu de base, c'est une excellente manière de prolonger le plaisir. On se retrouve donc ici avec une "after story" de la good ending de Leos, où l'on fête l'équivalent de notre fête de Noël. J'ai pas pu m'empêcher de sourire tout du long. Si vous avez aimé "The Divine Speaker" et que vous aimez/appréciez Leos, ce petit jeu est à avoir.
