really spooky game! jumpscares, monsters and environments are really good. story to begin with is pretty serviceable but the
ending fell pretty flat for me
. overall like 6.5/10 (8/10 if it weren't for
the ending
)
Completed the game in one sitting, as I was hooked. Main game: Personally I thought this was a bit of a cross between final destination and corpse party. The game starts with a lot of deaths some of which felt a bit final destination-ish. When the game gets going after the bus crash, the supernatural elements come into play a bit. The jump-scares were a bit hit and miss, some of them it almost seemed as if the image would display a fraction of a second off to the sound which would reduce the jump scare . The creepiness definitely got my heart rate up at points. The ending: Now I can see why this divides everyone. I’ve only done one play through at the time of this review. If you notice the little hints the ending does make sense however, it can be taken as well, Did anything I do make a difference but i feel there’s more of a psychological aspect that people might miss. Especially if they don’t realise which event was the most significant to the main character. Deck compatibility: Right here’s where it gets interesting for me. It stated unsupported but I didn’t realise this until after purchasing. I thought why not try it if it works great if not, fair enough. It ran absolutely perfect for me no mods or anything. The only real issue is the text size. When choices are brought up it can take a moment to focus on the writhing which can cause you to run out of time for selecting choices. Simple solution for me was streaming the deck to my TV which honestly? Gave me a much better experience overall. Summary: Personally I really enjoyed it, wished it had a few more hours worth of gaming time but nonetheless I do recommend it. Just keep your mind open and have a bit of a psychological thought process towards the end.
jumpscares on this game were crazyyyyyyyyy fr
