Despite the game being out for almost 6 years, it is still riddled with bugs that make it so you can't complete important QTE's that can LITERALLY kill a character. Specifically when Taylor has to face the demon alone. My friend and I are unable to save her because he can't complete the QTE to save herself, it just doesn't show up. Don't buy unless you want to gamble with your money. Better off going to the casino.
Little Hope is, so far, my favorite game in The Dark Pictures Anthology. Now, to be fair, at the time I'm writing this, I still haven't played The Devil in Me, so that opinion could change. But out of the anthology games I've played so far, Little Hope takes the top spot. One of the biggest reasons is the story. The game takes heavy inspiration from the Salem Witch Trials, blending historical events with supernatural horror in a way that constantly had me trying to piece together what was actually happening. Every chapter left me wanting answers, and I found myself getting more invested as the mystery unfolded. Of course, just like the other Supermassive Games titles, your choices matter. Every decision has consequences, and you never know whether a split-second choice is going to save someone's life... or get them killed. Those moments always keep me on edge because I'm constantly second-guessing myself. One thing that really stood out to me was the monster design. These creatures are creepy as crap. Seriously, Supermassive absolutely nailed the enemy designs in this game. Every time one showed up, it felt unsettling, unique, and genuinely intimidating. They weren't just scary because they chased you—they were scary because they looked like something straight out of a nightmare. The atmosphere, the story, and the constant mystery all worked together to keep me hooked from beginning to end. Every time I thought I had things figured out, the game gave me another reason to question everything. Overall, I absolutely loved Little Hope. If you're a fan of story-driven horror games where your choices matter, this is an easy recommendation. Between the creepy atmosphere, fascinating mystery, memorable monster designs, and the replayability that comes with multiple endings, it's one of the strongest entries in The Dark Pictures Anthology that I've played so far. If you enjoyed Until Dawn or Man of Medan, I definitely think Little Hope deserves a spot on your list.
fun!
Boring and expensive game
