The Curse of the Werewolves

I'm recommending this if you enjoy hidden object games and find this game on sale. Pros: - Hidden Object areas are not too easy and not too difficult. - Dividing the game into "figuring out where to use items", puzzles, and hidden object areas: the HO areas gets the highest percentage - which is what I LOOK for in hidden object games. :) - Story was by no means a masterpiece but definitely intriguing. - Music was suitable for the story and didn't distract or annoy. Cons: - WAY too short. I completed everything and I mean everything (main story, small closing story, bonus game) in 5 hours. I took my sweet time and never used hints or skips. Most people will probably finish well under 5 hours. - Bonus game is not an addition to the story. Instead, they give you jigsaw puzzles of 3 of the backgrounds. But ONLY 3. I like the idea of HO story jigsaws but for $9.99, they should have had a much larger selection. - A few things seemed unpolished and for those who like cutscenes, you won't find them here. All in all, I enjoyed playing this game but I feel like I didn't get my money's worth.

Сюжет в игре довольно средний, не затягивает, но и отвращение не вызывает. [h1]Геймплей.[/h1] Ищем предметы в горах барахла, решаем паззлы. Все как обычно. Стоит сказать, что логика в некоторых действиях отсутствует. Всего два примера - у нас есть 2 тряпки, и пыль которую надо протереть. Что мы делаем? Ищем 3-ю тряпку, ибо наша героиня настолько педантична, что для всего ей нужен конкретный предмет. Второй пример - из стены торчит кирпич, у нас есть кувалда и молоток, что мы делаем? Ищем лопатку для кладки кирпичей. Ну правильно, молотом то грубо орудовать. Отдельный минус - есть карта, но на ней не показаны пути в не открытые помещения, в результате чего их можно сразу не заметить, кроме того по карте нельзя мгновенно перемещаться, приходиться делать это вручную. Опять же подсказки на местности отсутствуют. Иногда игра крашит, по счастью редко. [h1]Графика и звуки.[/h1] Начальный ролик, какой-то кривоватый. А вот локации и паззлы прорисованы довольно красиво. Музыка нормальная. Есть приличная английская озвучка. [h1]Как итог.[/h1] Довольно проходной представитель жанра. Все в целом среднее по качеству, плюс несколько раздражают логические не состыковки. За неимением "нейтрального" пальца, скорее палец вверх, чем вниз. Please don't waste your money on this game! I play a lot of point and click games and The Curse of the Werewolves is one of the worst. The only good thing I can say about it is that the graphics were pretty good. But, the decent graphics couldn't hide the fact that everything else about the game was garbage. This game lacked everything new and challenging that other point and click games have. The "story" was miserable. Now, most point and click games have ridiculous stories and I appreciate them for being outrageous because they believe in themselves. The problem with The Curse of the Werewolves was that it had NO story when, given the subject matter, it could have had a really good one. Werewolves are scary and exciting, right? Not when its just granny wolfing out and accidently killing the neighbors. The End. The game was unacceptably short, even for a point and click. I played through it in about 2 hours. For a $10 game, I find that to be almost criminal.

Not bad. A bit simple. The plot is a bit weak, the puzzles pretty easy. The ending a bit disappointing. I completed it in 2h. So, maybe not worth 9,99$. Better wait for a lower price.

Bon petit jeu pour se détendre lors d'un après-midi pluvieux. Points négatifs: -durée trop courte (terminé en 2h) -certains tableaux sont répétitifs, donc faciles Points positifs: -scénario intéressant (qui aurait mérité d'être un peu plus développé) -ambiance film d'angoisse réussie -graphismes originaux -musiques bien choisies -système d'aide optionnel -gameplay sympa -interface simple En attente d'une suite ou d'un add-on beaucoup plus long!

Fun game, not too difficult on the puzzles and lets you skip if you'd rather just move on with the story. Has some plot holes and not the most exciting story, but does give you a decent amount of areas to explore.

Pretty good game, the story got my attention right away. The game seems like a mix of point and click adventure with mixed in hidden object scenes and mini games. Also there is a bonus section, where you can try and battle some jigsaw puzzles of images from the game.
