The Crimping

I just played through this game! The graphics were beautiful and I loved the sounds, especially the rain. The voices are definitely weird because they are AI voices. But it was super nice not having to read anything. While there were some jump scares, I actually found some of the walking around the most spooky. It is cool that this is a story based on a real hotel. It would be fun to figure out what hotel it is based on. I wish it was a little longer of a game and I hope the developer expands on this game at some point. Great bit of fun for the low price point!

It's a fun little jaunt, the platforming section at the end is terrible due to the jumps being inconsistent and floaty as well as the rocks basically sliding you if your off a little from the target jump After some more time int he floating platforming section this game is bad don't buy

A great little storybook horror game. Between the late 1800's and early 1900's Portland, Oregon was notorious for "Crimping", which was a practice that involved drunk sailors passing out, and waking up at sea against their will as part of a ship's crew. "The Crimping" tells the story of a timeless love, and the tragic events that lead to supernatural clues that allow a ghostly mystery to unfold.

The Crimping was Made is Less then a month as a Challenge for one of my Videos. The shear amount of work that was put into the game, in such a short space of time, is staggering. Mama Makes Games Is a truly gifted developer! The Crimping Is Campy story driven game, with bizarrely humorous characters, nice spooks and is short but sweet. and with the NEW update the last section of the game features some truly challenging platforming, which i loved!

I was one of the many who got to Beta test this game, I streamed it live on my twitch, the graphics were amazing, I was running an Intel core i7 9700K CPU, 32 GB RAM, Nividia GeForce RTX 2060 (EVGA), on the recommended settings while streaming the quality was good but a bit laggy to stream (off stream everything runs perfectly fine) The attention to detail on all options of graphics settings for the game is amazing, though if you plan to stream and have the specs I do, potato settings is the way to go for it to look good on stream with no - minimal lagging. Knowing the game was about the Shanghai Tunnels here in Oregon got me intrigued and I now actually want to go see the tunnels for myself (there are tours in Portland, I did check). This game was a lot more light-hearted and campy than the kind of horror games I usually play and stream, but still very much enjoyable and a breath of fresh air for me personally (there were a few moments I did get scared and screamed). The controller support for it was a game changer for me and worked perfectly! I would highly recommend playing it, my play-through of it was roughly about 40 minutes from start to finish.

This was a great game. A fantastic Indie game that brought some horror tropes along for the ride and some additional examples of horror I wasn't expecting. The graphics were on par with a solid 3D entry and the puzzles were also basic but fun. I really liked the overall pace of the game and it kept a steady pace of chills / horror throughout. Most of the voice acting was done by AI, most of which was also very passable for a game. The occasional character could probably do with being done by a real human. I enjoyed the overall background of the story though and it was a very enjoyable game all in all which will last most people an hour or two. One to play at the right price.

I had a good time playing this on an early build. There were some legitimate little jump-scares and some solid puzzles too. It's also a trip how functional the computer is. It has full command line and you can even run a game within a game. I could noodle out on the in-game computer for awhile. Watch out for skeletons and most of all... Don't get CRIMPED!

What a fun experience! From being super scared to having silly moments mid game. This game has the right formula for me. I hope that whoever decides to purchase it has as much fun as I did!

A short but fun game. Not too scary with some entertaining dialog. One section of the game had me at the edge of my seat and I was relieved to make it out alive!

Let me start off by saying, I had no idea that this was set in Portland going into it. Portland is my hometown so I kind of geeked out over that. The fact that there's voice acting in a horror game is great and the fact that it's a campy horror game I think the AI adds to that level of it. With bad delivery making it seem like an 80 horror movie/porn? something lol. Also thank you for brightness feature.
