10/10, would cook again. can we get a full johann difficulty
Play this game for a cute, fun, silly and goofy experience with a touch of real world vulnerability. Update: Chapter 2 adds a lot to the story and I am excited for chapter 3!
I've been following the progress of the cooking club for quite a while and I've got to say I'm really Impressed, the character designs are adorable and memorable, very iconic indeed, and the voice acting is also just so well done, its a great visual novel. The cooking club will always have my full support and reccomendation!
I've finished Chapter 1 (The most that's out as of this review!), The game is very impressive for the studio's first game! The voice acting is pretty well done, the writing is good, the characters are fun and they all are very well designed, and the segments where you actually cook in the game are very cool when they do show up, I hope they're a bit more common and have different ingredient options in the future! My only complaint (Even if it's a small one) is that the game could benefit from a bit more expressions, one example being the scene with Daisy while you're outside the club room that's supposed to be sad, but she doesn't have a variation of her sprite that complements the scenes writing/voice acting perfectly imo! Atleast as of now, Kickstarter Backers got access to the games Concept Art/Development Info, when that releases for non-backers, I highly recommend checking it out, some of the concept art makes me want the team to try making mini comics with the characters! (My favorite pages of it are 27/28/29) Everything up to Chapter 1 is a 9/10 for me! Very glad this was the first game I've backed on Kickstarter. Post Chapter 2 Review (as of 5/10/2026), What i said in the Chapter 1 section of my review above still applies! I really liked that the characters got even more depth to them due to the events that went down in this chapter, I feel like the way Chapter 2 ended was pretty abrupt, but I liked it overall! I forgot to list this in my chapter 1 review, but i hope the voice volume is improved a bit more by Chapter 3, some voice lines can still be much louder/quieter than others, not a huge deal though! I'd probably give Chapter 2 on it's own a 8.5-9/10, not sure which i'd give it, but I *slightly* enjoyed Chapter 1 more, both we're really great though!
Why was the entire script of Skrek on my pc
im such a big fan of the cooking club! i havent played too much but i loved the all the voiceactors! i cant wait to see more!!!! YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!
Overall, the game is... okay, although there's a lot of room for improvement, at least in my opinion, but let's break it down a bit: Visually-wise: The game definitely looks good, the character designs—though I didn't like every single one—are original and definitely have character. The only thing I would suggest is adding a wider range of facial expressions to choose from. Often, "aggression," "frustration," or "sadness" are expressed with faces that don't convey these emotions, especially with voice acting. Sound-wise: The voice acting is quite good; the voices are recognizable and distinct enough that you can tell which character is speaking. However, I think some of them should be louder, and it's worth fixing the moments where they don't work—though I'm not gonna nitpick this, as the Studio Z are already aware of this issue ;> I definitely appreciate that the VAs show emotion in their voices; it adds to the authenticity of the characters and shows whether the situation we're in is sad, happy, etc. :D Music: One of my favorite aspects here, although I'm not sure if they're made by someone at Studio Z or if it's simply music purchased/borrowed from someone with credit in credits, but I might be wrong o.o Gameplay-wise: There's nothing particularly noteworthy here – typical visual novel fare. The cooking minigames, if any, are just... okay? Nothing special. Story-wise: This is where I have the most reservations. First of all – since we're skipping large time gaps – maybe we could at least give a more detailed explanation of what happened over the past few days? A quick explanation doesn't give me enough information to feel confident about where I stand in my relationship with the other members. I'd like to point out that... while the characters' lines are authentic and real, you can feel like they were written by a human, the narrator's lines (apart from the ones that break the fourth wall ;P) often feel like they were written by an AI, at least that's how I felt, especially with a few specific sentences that I've often only seen AI use. Besides that... the story itself is just... okay'ish? I don't really want to be offensive, but I felt quite bored by the end of Chapter 1. In short, I see the potential of this game, although there are many elements that I personally just don't like. Despite that, I would still rate this game... and a juicy 6/10 would do ;>
I've been held at gunpoint to review this so my Kitten (Zander) can continue to develop games like this. That aside, Daisy makes me want to blow my brains out. Amazing experience.
