This game is an enigma, each mission feels like it lasts hours yet things just happen so quickly that your brain can’t keep up. This game somehow creates the same time distortion as psychoactive substances. This is one of those games that you’d get for a Christmas present from a relative with no idea how, where, or why they got it as you’ve never seen it advertised anywhere or in any store, only to memory hole it until years later. Add on the fact that some of the screenshots show a completely different game clearly set in Vietnam for no reason as this never comes up during the game, keep in mind this game is set during 1941. If you’ve heard of the term “dirty crack house movies”, this is that but for video games.

Decent short game which looks pretty ugly for 2008, It may not have great story but the gameplay is where It might shine. Great If you got some spare time cause It's around 2 hours long. Personally, I had good time with this one.

In this game you are never alone, you have your comrades to help you in the fighting. Churchill ingame is very ugly hahaha. Overall nice Big Classic game.

Звук тот же, анимации те же. - Союзники мешают, застревают в текстурах, стоят на месте, не дают пройти, ну и ни единого выстрела от них, в общем, сверхполезные. - Всё такая же дерганная камера и застраивание в текстурах при перемещении из-за высокого фпс. - Тряска камеры в прицеливании, в кого стреляешь, в кого попало, гадать на кофейной гуще. - Те же фризы из приквела, секунды так на три при получении контрольной точки. - Продолжительность такая же смехотворная. Собственно, объединить бы эти две части в одну, и ничего бы не изменилось, всё такая же огромная куча мелких раздражителей для комфортного геймплея. За исключением, что кровь по умолчанию не вырезали, а так все те же две пустышки на клевом движке первого F.E.A.R.

It's a small probably not even A budget game from the mid 2000s, and it plays like one. My favourite genre is mid 2000s FPS games and CI did not disappoint. It's short, i completed it in just 1.7 hours and that involved some steam deck set-up. You can get it for less than £1 and have a good 90 minutes of fun, Turn your brain off and enjoy the gameplay honestly isn't half bad. It sort of reminds me of MOH Airborne with its over the top hit reactions knocking my aim off

"The Royal Marines Commando" ist ein City Interactive Spiel. Freunde des schlechten Geschmacks wissen, was das heißt: Schlechte Technik, miserable Dialoge und grausiges Gameplay. Als Dreiergespann rennen wir durch sechs Level. Das heißt, wir versuchen es, weil sich unsere KI-Kameraden ständig heroisch vor einen stellen, um die feindlichen Kugeln abzufangen. Auch sonst besticht unser Team mit taktischer Finesse. So beschließt unser Team in einer Mission, welche im Briefing als "Top Secret Stealth Infiltration" tituliert wird, bei der ersten Sichtung eines Gegners das Feuer zu eröffnen, während sie lauthals „Macht die Schweine fertig!" schreien. Generell wird effizientes Vorgehen belohnt. So werden bei Kopftreffern die Gegner mehrere Meter in die Luft katapultiert. Ja der Realismus wird bei "The Royal Marines Commando" groß geschrieben. Das merkt man sofort, wenn man die berühmte Schlacht nachspielt, in welcher deutsche Fallschirmjäger Schottland angreifen. Zu guter Letzt möchte ich noch die packende Atmosphäre loben. Es war ein genialer Schachzug, die Synchronisation zu machen, indem man den Hausmeister des Entwicklerstudios emotionslos die Dialoge vom Zettel ablesen ließ. Aber jetzt mal im Ernst: "The Royal Marines Commando" ist purer Müll, aber unterhaltsamer Müll. Wer an Trash Spaß hat, wird hier voll auf seine Kosten kommen. Gerade die Zwischensequenzen sind Highlights. Auch die Spielzeit von knapp 2 Stunden ist ein wunderbarer Sweetspot, um von dem Bugfest noch amüsiert und nicht frustriert zu werden.

I didn't know what to expect, but it was not this. I enjoyed my short 2 to 3 hour playthrough of this classic. It's buggy, the companions are either uselessly getting you stuck on corners, or they're helping you destroy the nazi's. There's a stealth mission in this game, and your partner REFUSES to actually take out enemies. But he will definitely will get caught walking in the path of both where you're aiming and where the guards are walking. He even shouts for you to do something about the enemies. I laughed, I cried, I got annoyed, and I had a wonderful time. The controls are really good. Everything feels snappy and all the guns feel powerful.
