cult of the lamb meets rimworld with zombie bunnies. pretty fun game so far and the art is super interesting. so many things you can do in the game already so I'm excited to see the developers finish this.
Wow, I'm absolutely sure those are paid reviews. This is a very raw game and whilst the premise might sound fun, the game itself is not. Comparing this game to Rimworld or any other games of that ilk would suggest that it's at least a little bit intuitive in its interface and gameplay. It is not. You wander aimlessly grabbing materials and needlessly micromanaging a group of brain-dead colonists. I'm not sure if there's actual zombies in the game as I didn't get that far. There's certainly not many brains to go around. Early access, should be used when a game is already in a fully working state and just requires polish. The developer has stated as much themselves. If they consider this ready for early access, I consider my money better spent elsewhere. In my opinion, the people reviewing this game positively have been incentivised in some way. I would be less inclined to review this game so harshly if I thought that not to be the case, however I still wouldn't recommend it. Right now, this is just a cash grab with few redeeming features.
11/10, would organize my bunny colony again. It’s still in Early Access, so expect some rough edges, but the potential is clear. Definitely give it a go if you're into games like RimWorld or Cult of the Lamb.
This is a fun little game with cute rabbits and starts off slowly, but there is so much more to this game than meets the eye! You accept colonists into your post-apocalyptic survival group and have to figure out how to feed them, give them shelter, give them jobs, and keep them happy! But once you begin to travel around the larger world, the game opens up into a much more lush mystery that you have to solve! It seems like nothing is unlocked at first, but start traveling! You will find secrets that unlock the greater game. Really enjoying this one!
Very cute game, love the potential so far. Bunnies meets apocalypse survival/crafting simulator. Almost like a dark take on Animal Crossing. Excited to see future updates
Great start for a survival horror game! Cute character designs, offered challenges to work through, and genuinely snagged my attention for a good bit! Excited to see how the game improves and grows.
Being an early access game, there is so much potential here. I was immediately drawn in by the adorable art! I loved gathering food, building farms and filling out my colony! Traveling to the different nodes and finding resources to expand my colony is so fun! The zombie animations are adorable! Highly recommend to anyone who loves adorable little colony simulators with gun, this is for you!
Clear a lot of love went into this. Good game with a cute style and music, kinda cozy vibes mixed with zombie survival is also interesting. I normally play FPS stuff so sim genre but with a controllable character with combat and you respawn as your settlers is a pretty cool idea. Needs some more time in the oven, but it has a ton of potential and I'd love to see more
The Colony 2044 is still in early access, but I’ve already had an absolute blast playing it! There’s so much to do, even at this stage. I was able to build a small camp, gather the most adorable recruits (each with their own names and unique traits!), and truly immerse myself in caring for my little colony. The animation style is charming and cozy, while killing zombunnies gives it an edge! The quests have been engaging so far, and I can’t wait to see what else the developers have in store. If you love Cult of the Lamb, this game is an absolute must-try. I’m so excited to see how it evolves!
Another phenomenal entry into the survival crafting genre. To say The Colony has charm would be an understatement—it’s absolutely brimming with personality. The game features an adorable bunny sprite art style that’s delightfully cute, yet it’s contrasted by equally horrifying hordes of zombie bunnies determined to stop you at every opportunity. This unique blend of charm and challenge creates a stimulating experience that keeps you on your toes, balancing whimsy with the thrill of survival in a way that’s both engaging and satisfying.
