童年补票支持,微微恐的猎奇短篇小故事,尸体逐渐腐烂的立绘画得蛮好看的,文字描述也很生动有味儿,虽然价不高但流程也实在短,建议还是云玩
I'm a psychology major who took forensic science classes four times, and this game does not cut any corners with it's accuracy. If body horror images gross you out, this game is still playable. It has beautiful watercolor illustrations that don't focus on hyper-realistic gore. The horror is written in text, and boy did they do a good job. They nailed the decomposition stages and symptoms of prolonged grief disorder and brief psychotic disorder. If these key elements were represented incorrectly it would've pulled me right out of the game. However, I was locked TF in; curious about how much worse the next chapter would be. This game also caused me to reflect on my own life. I lost my closest relative in a tragic accident, and when the news broke; her parents reacted similarly in an emotional sense. How do you keep someone alive when they have been taken too soon? What would happen if we let the selfish parts of us that aren't ready to accept grief take control? What is fate and what is fault? How do we apologize to someone who cannot hear us?

tragic visual novel not much interesting about it love the artstyle but the story is meh and dragged not much to say... coulda been a reddit horror story, but i appreciate it anyway cuz yk its really unique and has medical research involved which is always cool only recommending cuz its important to support research lead projects by indie devs
Disgustingly in-depth and genuinely chilling. I'm not often phased by horror, but this one made its way deep under my skin. If you're in any way squeamish, or sensitive to depictions of child-abuse, then I'd pass up Pumpkin Eater. A strong, one-of-a-kind, grotesque tragedy.
Yeah it's a medically accurate portrayal of decomposition, but it feels like they focused so much on it they forgot to make the story actually interesting.
I came here from a YouTube video, something like "3 horror games I can't play again" and this was one of them. I believe the same YouTuber also did a playthrough of the game, but for only $2, I figured it was worth experiencing myself, and I was right. The story was interesting enough; the family dynamic and witnessing the horrors endured by the daughter from her own perspective kept me engaged, and the descriptions of the body's decomposition were thorough and educational. Truth be told, I suppose I expected worse? Don't get me wrong, a child's decomposing corpse being cared for by a delusional mother is pretty terrifying, and I felt quite unnerved throughout the story. But in terms of visuals, I was under the impression that there would be close-ups of vivid gore or something similar. I recognize that the project was done in a month and that more subtle changes in the body would've been added given more time, but with the option to censor gore in the preferences menu, I expected something downright vomit-inducing. I played through the game the first time without any censorship. Ironically, when I looked through the images again with censorship turned on, there was something even more terrifying about the black gradient over the body's silhouette; the details of the boy's corpse being left up to the imagination. That's not a stab at the artist either, the imagery accomplishes what it set out to do, especially considering the medium. But if you're looking for the scariest experience possible of this game, perhaps less is more. Take that for what you will. All in all, $2 well-spent. The poor daughter's suffering and resolve will stick with me for some time, and if nothing else, this has been an educational experience. I pray I don't see the boy in my nightmares.

Medically accurate and very interesting. Short but really good for it's price.
