About
The Cave Diver is equal parts rage-game, psychological horror, and folklore nightmare.
A rage-inducing descent into darkness, built around unconventional hand-based controls and a story buried deep beneath the earth.
The suffocating rocks of the caves are slowly closing in to claim another soul.
Keep crawling... You're almost there...
Cave dive through a labyrinth of crushing stones and constricting passageways. Branching tunnels will lure you into claustrophobic passages where turning back seems physically impossible.
Hammer crude signs into the stone to track your descent into the caves. With every new body, the cave grows familiar. The marks of those who came before remain…
The caves are no place for the living. Getting stuck means dying alone, entombed in rock. No one is coming to save you. When you return as a new cave diver, you might stumble upon your predecessor's decayed remains - if you can reach them.
Master the movement and grip of your two hands to carefully navigate obstacles and overcome physics puzzles. Every movement is perfected through failure. Only the obsessive, the patient, and the insane make it deeper.
For generations your family has told stories of a rare flower that grows at the bottom of these caves. They say the flower can cure any ailment - even paraplegia of the legs . But every man who's entered the caves has failed to return... Some say the cave itself takes them... Others speak of something ancient that stirs below - an evil older than man himself...

I really liked the visual style and claustrophobic vibes of the trailer and the game I feel like did not disappoint. Some of the narrow squeezes in the play through so far have made me genuinely uneasy and the audio amplifies that. The game play reminds me a lot of Getting Over it but with more forgiving mechanics and physics (that being said it is absolutely still maddening at times). There is a creepy ethereal horror vibe to the story so far as found in notes along the way so it is fun to have that intersperse the game play periodically since it is a good excuse to take a break from the tense maneuvering parts. Honestly I would strongly recommend this game!
Please rename this "cripple goes into a mine" caves an mines aren't the same thing, also this perfectly illustrates why overly disabled folks shouldn't ever be in a Mine or go caving. Caving is a dangerous sport an should never be taken so lightly, as an actual cave diver this feels like a disgrace. I understand its a rage game (designed to be BS the whole way through) but this feels poorly made even for that. i wont recommend this game to anyone till it gets some serious work done for the design. already uninstalled an wont be wasting the time to finish.

The game has multiple endings and a challenge mode after you win. Not as much of a rage game as you would think, your progress is saved often and you seldomly lose the progress you earn. There are puzzles and mild horror aspects. Branching paths let you choose the type of terrain you are most comfortable with. I enjoyed the game but one playthrough is enough for me. I would recommend the game but probably not for those who are impatient or not ready for a challenge.
Silly and spooky adventure to unknown depths. Compelling aesthetic, gameplay satisfyingly frustrating in a Foddyish way. Great stuff.

Really fun physics spelunking game. The story builds well through notes left in the caves. The physics is really fun to play with once you get used to the movement basics. Spooky and atmospheric. No idea what anyone is complaining about. It's a physics game, it's supposed to be a little janky. Loved it.
nice atmosphere and fun gameplay mechanics
its a good game, ik im not far in but its so far good but i feel bad for my mouse, its just a game about exploring a cave and a bit of lore but its unique and good
