About
You wake inside a dead god. The corpse is your world: a continent of rotting organs, bone corridors, and forgotten chambers, rendered in retro terminal ASCII with authentic CRT glow. For fans of Caves of Qud, Dwarf Fortress, Cultist Simulator, and Sunless Sea.

Harvest biomass, calcium, bile, and neurons from the rotting flesh around you. Every organ is a resource. Every bone is a wall. The deeper you carve, the more the carcass yields and the more it remembers.

Build chambers, forges, and altars across living anatomy. Every citizen has traits, skills, and scars that outlive them. Leaders rise. Factions form and clash. Hold morale together or decide who eats and who is eaten.

Research splits into combat, production, diplomacy, and forbidden arts. Unlock occult mutations: bone armor, mind-link, parasite resistance, the ability to digest gods. The deeper you dig, the more the carcass understands you.

Send your warriors into the marrow. Battle parasites that learned what fear is. Defend chambers against creatures that wake when you sleep. Permadeath is real, but the carcass remembers every warrior you ever sent in.

Story-rich Lovecraftian events drawn from deep cosmic horror lore. A stranger comes asking for shelter. An organ pulses with stolen memory. The voice in the wall offers a deal. Every choice echoes through factions, futures, and endings.

Every keystroke shapes your fate. Every choice carries forward. New Game Plus carries your victories. The carcass remembers everything you ever did inside it.

Dominion. Symbiosis. Awakening. Escape. Transcendence. Five main endings, and four more hidden behind cryptic choices. Each demands a different strategy. Each rewrites how the god remembers you.

Five difficulty levels from Merciful to Extinction. Permadeath Ironman mode. Localization, accessibility, and a customizable terminal. Pure keyboard input. Authentic CRT effects. No mouse needed.

AI slop. Just saw the premise, thought it was interesting and went into it blind. Fortunately, the intro gave the ruse away.
I really wanted to like it. I was really intrigued by the premise, Really disappointing.
What a great premise, ruined by lazy AI slop.

I bought this immediately earlier when I saw it. I thought this was such a cool concept, but immediately when I booted up the game, the introduction felt blatantly AI generated, with plot points seeming to repeat multiple times, one "twist"
I.e. the signal wasn't a transmission, it was bait
, repeated ad-nauseum, each time as if it was the first time being read. It screams of copy-pasted dialogue pulled from ChatGPT, without even a basic proof-read. The menus are confusing, the tutorial is not helpful in the least, and it's clear this wasn't adequately playtested. I've noticed during events when you use the "ask" command, the responses you receive are sometimes generic or unrelated to the event, almost like they were supposed to be replaced, but were either forgotten about or hallucinated by some LLM. It's really too bad, because this is a fantastic concept, but it's outside of the obvious, garbled, nonsensical AI content, the game itself is just a mess. There's too many systems that are poorly explained or not explained at all, and are clearly supposed to piece together in some cohesive fashion, but just don't. It's like being handed a fancy looking box of puzzle pieces, but when you try to put it together, you realize the pieces are from 10 different puzzles. Damn.
The disclaimer about the game being mostly AI-generated was added only very recently, after I've purchased it.
♥♥♥♥ AI and ♥♥♥♥ lazy devs. Don’t buy this slop, it’s riddled with AI garbage
How do you even call this a game? Full of bugs, AI slop, game crashes, everything nonsense. The worst gaming experience of my life so far.
I love text based games, I really do. But this one feels like someone has autotranslated it from an unknown language with a very poor result. In both my native language (polish) and english you can find frequent errors, typos and mistranslations which is a no-go zone in text game! It is therefore nearly impossible to understand what the devs mean and what player is supposed to do. Sadly I have to ask for a refund.
The weird way the store page was formatted gave me concerns, but the screenshots looked curious enough that I decided to give it a try, especially since my concerns were that an LLM was used in development and the dev supposedly didn't use it according to the lack of disclaimer (which was added after the purchase, so at the time I thought there was no LLM use). The fact that the studio's only other output is absolutely not related to this game in terms of genres, combined to that output also being also kinda bad should have been another warning sign. Alas, the premise was too interesting and I gave it a try in spite of reservations. The way the text was written already felt off and inconsistent and way too wordy in places (the intro says "this was a trap" like 4 times in a row) - the disclosure (added after I purchased and played it for a bit, mind you) claims the text was written by LLM and edited by the author, which feels even worse because at first I thought it was edited by an LLM (thus the oddities), not entirely produced by it. The music choice (which as I find out later was also AI generated) didn't match the tone at all, setting me up for an epic cyberpunk-ish confrontation and not a surreal cosmic horror. These little things unfortunately lead into the whole game into losing the mystique that was previously provided by its genuinely unique premise. Generally I would have just moved on with this one after being disappointed - I would have just assumed it's not for me (although realistically I wouldn't have bought it in the first place if I was aware of the level of LLM usage involved - I'm a snob and LLM writing at the moment is not high quality enough for my snobby ass). The lack of disclosure at the time of release that was added only after crossed a line for me so I took my time to produce a negative review. Was that disclosure maneuver deceptive or incompetent? You decide. Either way, it was not something that inspires confidence.
