Fun game with lots of potential. Id say its a mix between Cluedo and Phasmophobia with some mini-games mixed in. Id say some of the mini-games need work. A few can be frustrating, especially if youre not playing in a 4 man team. But there does seem to be enough variety where you dont get bored. I personally havent had any issues optimization wise, maybe some occasional lag but nothing crazy. However, some of the people I played with did. Final thoughts: Super fun and fresh, cant wait to see what more they add! Looking forward to more customisation options, rooms and minigames.
Enjoyable with friends. Horribly optimized. I can see it being fun playing a few times, but would probably get repetitive after a bit.

It's like spooky Jumanji, If you can grab a few friends and play it's actually super fun. Some cards start "mini games" where you have to complete certain tasks without dying, Just be careful to place halls in a way you can travel throughout the house easily. Only issue we ran into is spectating is very very broken and you see through people if they are crouching and you can't see anything, Other then that game is super fun and worth the 8$ price point!
Amazingly fun and unique game! A few bugs and some confusing instructions (or lack there of). But otherwise I'm loving it! We've finally got the hang of it and understand most of the mechanics after a few runs (though trial and error). Don't listen to the weird negative reviews, this is really fun and has loads of potential :D
A fun little game with a lot of fantastic ideas! Rough around the edges for sure, with a little more optimisations needed for differing hardware. Definitely one game to keep an eye on! A recommend from me to support the dev, but the game is Early Days yet!
well, I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY by this game, not only by how it is now at early access... but for the potential it has for full release! it runs SO smoothly! the replayability fascinates me.. one.. more.. game.. and its 1am! As a lover of phasmo and the other side; I love a game where I'm problem solving whilst being hunted... the peril and thrill excites me! I also love a roguelite/card game, this game ticks all the boxes. Bravo. I'm hooked! Highly recommend!
I’ve put around 6–7 hours into The Cabin Game so far and I’m really enjoying it. It’s an interesting mix of a board game and a first-person horror game, which also means there can be a bit of a learning curve at first. Some of the rules and mechanics weren’t immediately clear to us, especially when we were first figuring out how the cards, clues and board interact. I actually ended up making a spoiler-light beginner’s guide because there were a few things I wished had been explained more clearly when we started. Once it starts to click, though, there’s a really fun game here. I especially like the atmosphere. It manages to be creepy without relying entirely on simple jumpscares, and a lot of the tension comes from not knowing what a card is going to introduce or what you’re going to have to deal with next. I’ve encountered a couple of minor bugs, but nothing major enough to interfere with my experience so far. The game is still in Early Access and clearly being refined, so I’m pretty forgiving of some rough edges at this stage. Performance-wise, it has run fine on my PC. I can only say that I haven’t noticed unusual performance problems during my own playtime. The biggest improvement I’d like to see right now would probably be clearer onboarding/instructions for new players. Because this is essentially a physical-style board game being played inside a video game, understanding the rules makes a huge difference to how enjoyable the first few games are. The card-based structure also leaves a lot of room for replayability and future additions. I can easily imagine new cards, Events and mechanics being added almost like expansions to the existing game, which makes me excited to see where development goes.
_____________________________________________________________ I think the game is absolutely awesome! It’s genuinely something different and huge fun to play. However, I’d only recommend it if you’re playing with friends—I imagine it would be boring on your own. The graphics are great, too, though the performance could use some tweaking; there’s definitely room for improvement there. That said, I think it would be an overreaction to give the game a bad rating just because of that. Personally, I haven’t encountered any significant bugs or crashes so far. It comes highly recommended for anyone wanting to try something new or looking for a game to play for a round or two a day with friends (a round takes up to about an hour).
Complete and utter incomprehensible mess.. Graveyard clue check cards?? WTF?? How do you check anything??? Nothing is explained well at all. Confusion reigns supreme. Absolutely baffling. May as well write the instructions down in ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics. Somehow communicate to players what the hell this game is or how to play it better or its going to bomb badly. Spent an hour with my son baffled playing this. Terrible. Refunded with EXTREME PREJUIDCE
Game is great and a lot of fun. Small issues would be the event minigames that need more balance adjustments among small other issues. But overall it's still a very fun game to play with your friends.
