Pros:
✅ Achievements.
Cons:
❌ Poor mouse aiming and overall feel during first person battles. ❌ There are only train and fortress battles in first person mode and the top down battles are extremely easy and can be exploited because the enemy AI is very poor. ❌ The game is very short with no real strategy involved. Each round you simply rush your units to conquer more land, and due to the easy gameplay, even larger enemy armies pose little challenge. ❌ There is only one map. ❌ Far too expensive for what it offers.
Steuerung ist grauenhaft.... hab mir noch nie so SEHR meinen alten ATARI zurück gewünscht......
Well worth the $3 I paid for it on sale. Playing with controllers in local multiplayer was a great experience. The battles look better with slightly improved mechanics from the NES port I grew up with. I was never a fan of the frenetic side-scrolling mini-games they replaced, so I actually see the FPS parts as an improvement. With a controller they seemed quite fun, especially the fort battles that include bots.
for everyone who knows the original game from old old times it's great nostalgy and still fun game to play especially with friend. For new players idk if it will work , but it's so cheap on GG.deals so just take it and try :)
Sorry, but no. The FPS elements ruin it for me. They're not only difficult to control but shouldn't really be there in the first place imho. Shame, because this could have been a good little nostalgic distraction from time to time.
j'aurais dû suivre les non recommandations publiées ici même ...
This game is just Not Good remaking it as an FPS AND the aiming control feels so off it swings on 2 mouse sensitivity in a way that you can't aim for ♥♥♥♥♥ just kills this game into a NOT recommended. this is not a 15 bucks worth your time even free.
the only problem with the game is that they haven't released a second one. I love the art style and the game play.
Całkiem fajny remake klasyka z Amigi 500. Nie ma ówczesnego poziomu grywalności, ale zachowuje w dużej części dawny klimat. Brakuje tylko słynnego fotografa :)
Dobra wersja starego North & South
