The Blue Flamingo

Cool and fun, but not quite a recommendable game. The real graphics are also glitchy, like the windowing doesn't work. I tried to love it, but I failed.

Quería saber cual era el final. Bueno, no tiene... llegué al nivel 20 y así mismo seguía y seguía... Entonces usé la herramienta de speed hack, y ¡Funcionó!, los niveles pasaron, al llegar al 60 aproximadamente, el mapa cargó, pero no aprecieron enemigos, y la nave dejó de responder... solo avanzaba el escenario de abajo, hasta llegar a un vacío infinito del cual no se puede salir... en donde curiosamente los graficos se ponen en modo espejo. Ese sería el "final"... Blue Flamingo is an arcade shoot'em'up. It's very basic and boring. Good: - The sound effects are good. Bad: - The graphics are terrible and repetitive. The background is a low resolution video, the enemies are scraps of metal, and your ship is very lame. Shoot'em'ups should have cool graphics, or it will end up being very tedious. - There are no bosses, just a pointless target practice at the end of each level. - The music is weird, always the same, and it doesn't fit the mood of the game at all. - You have to repeat the entire game every single time you lose, and there's no real incentive other than see numbers go up. - There are very few enemies. New enemies do show up but they're all kind of the same, so the surprise effect is not there. I'd say this is only really good if you have trouble sleeping. It will work in half an hour.

Original idea but not so interesting. Could be in abstract art galery maybe but not for gamers who want to have fun from game.

Basically a shoot em up done with a particular graphical design. While it's cool at first to look at the real life set design that was created, the action, the levels, and more just aren't fun, are very repetitive, and the controls are rather stiff and weak. It's a great concept demo for the type of game the developer was trying to make, but to make a game with entertainment that brings you in, slowly adds more gameplay gimmicks and such, it needs to be more developed. What you get is what you get from the first time you leave the hangar and take flight. I'm seeking more in a game and would encourage you to seek a different game if you're looking to be entertained.

Another winner from Might and Delight. Fun little game, I played for about 5 and a half hours which equated to 90 take offs. I probably wasn't very good at the game, barely got into the top 200 with my very best run. The graphics were great, the devs did an amazing job with the models. It was a little hard for me to keep interest as it is basically the same thing every run, and the "upgrades" weren't all that helpful. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more 11 years ago when it first came out, unfortunately just felt like I was playing a dead game. But still worth buying on sale, gotta love M&D.

Интересное времяпрепровождение пока выбиваешь карточки. Красивая графика, приятный дизайн, доска лидеров, но чтобы играть дальше мне не хватило каких-нибудь плюшек после прохождения уровня, например восстановления здоровья или прикольных апргейдов. Но игра честная ко всем игракам, как шашки - ничего лишнего. Только твой звездолёт и стремление побить прошлый рекорд
