About

14th-century Europe. Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. It's a moment of weakness - and that's all they needed. Vampires seize their opportunity to walk out of the shadows and claim what they've been denied for centuries: freedom, and the power that comes with it. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends turn into reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.
You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Fight for your humanity or embrace the cursed powers to save your family. Whatever your choice, the question stands: is your soul worth the lives of those you love?

Experience and shape the plot the way you want. Embark on the quest to save your family, or swear revenge on your sire and destroy everyone standing in your way. Discover ancient secrets lurking in the valley. Rush in head first or risk taking time to prepare. Go alone or search for friends and forge unlikely alliances.

Experience two different gameplay loops, offering distinct abilities to choose from, mysteries to uncover, and varying ways to achieve your goals. Experiment with different approaches and discover how the world reacts to your actions.

Every action - and inaction - shapes the world around you. Your family’s days are numbered, and every time you take on a quest, time moves forward, compelling you closer to the end. Choose carefully whom to help and whom to leave behind. You will not have time for everyone. The world waits for no one. And neither does the villain.

Defy gravity, become a brutal force of nature, and use your supernatural skills as a vampire. Or raise your sword, and employ powerful magic to take on opponents as a human. Experiment and adapt as your form changes during the day and night; each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Venture through the hand-crafted open world and discover all it has to offer. Roam through the lush forests, the vast plains, the treacherous swamps, the steep mountaintops, and the medieval settlements. Explore forgotten ruins, find remnants of an ancient civilization, and uncover truths that should probably remain hidden.

Experience the beginning of a brand-new saga built with love for the role-playing genre. Immerse yourself in a visually stunning world powered by the next-gen Unreal Engine 5.

Combat Peak, Story Peak, can't wait for the continuation.
Also: absolut kein Stress. Zusätzlich bleibt man in Kämpfen plötzlich an jeglichen Oberflächen hängen. If you know, you know. Last but not least: Die Mucke. Peak. Brauch ich nicht viel zu sagen. Man hört hier The Witcher 3 auch ganz klar raus. Absolut geil.

A must-play for fans of The Witcher and other RPGs. The Blood of Dawnwalker does so much right. The story, the lore, the open world, the activities, the insanely unique structure, they are all impeccable and on the level of The Witcher and Cyberpunk. I was completely engrossed by this game for its 40 hours, and I was practically addicted to it at a point, as the exploration is a blast and the story never once lets up. But unfortunately, the combat is a huge blemish on an otherwise fantastic game. Because combat is so prevalent due to the game's complete lack of a proper stealth system, it results in so much of the gameplay feeling undercooked and lacking, especially in how the combat feels so damage sponge-y, forcing combat sections to feel far too drawn out with no feeling of progression. However, the strong writing and fantastic open world made this game more than worth it to get through even with those issues. Considering this is the start of a hopefully long-running franchise, I can see the sequel doing wonders if it takes in all the feedback on gameplay, as Rebel Wolves' first-ever game completely excels in so many aspects. The ending made me excited to see where this franchise will go, and I hope the next game takes its time to improve the gameplay and achieve the vampire fantasy much more effectively. The Blood of Dawnwalker - 8/10 - GREAT Special thanks to the publisher for providing a review copy

What a wholesome package here. From start to finish, I was heavily invested to the story/setting and how each story quest would pan out. There are many strengths with this game, which makes it the more impressive as a first title for this studio. Things I appreciated: all dialogues are written well. All set dialogues are also voiced very well. Main character has a perfect tone to each scenario. Whether he tries to provide comfort, or gets angry, I can feel it through his voice. I liked how they provided different style combat for day/night, even if directional combat is the same. Having witch abilities helped provide some flavor during day combat to make up for lack of vampire skills. I appreciate armor hunting via quests, something I enjoy in open world games. I thank the developers for generous weight limit. I rarely was encumbered, as item management can be a hassle during some games. I was surprised how many quests can be approached differently and the sense of your actions having actual consequences, and many important characters can die. I can keep going of course, but just wanted to highly recommend this game. Say a thank you to the devs for this amazing experience. I will be thinking about this game for some time. My only feedback is to add more dynamic enemies in the open world. I know its a first game for studio, and this will likely be improved upon next games. But I felt half my enemies were wolves/bears/ and boars lol.
