About

14th-century Europe. Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. It's a moment of weakness - and that's all they needed. Vampires seize their opportunity to walk out of the shadows and claim what they've been denied for centuries: freedom, and the power that comes with it. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends turn into reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.
You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Fight for your humanity or embrace the cursed powers to save your family. Whatever your choice, the question stands: is your soul worth the lives of those you love?

Experience and shape the plot the way you want. Embark on the quest to save your family, or swear revenge on your sire and destroy everyone standing in your way. Discover ancient secrets lurking in the valley. Rush in head first or risk taking time to prepare. Go alone or search for friends and forge unlikely alliances.

Experience two different gameplay loops, offering distinct abilities to choose from, mysteries to uncover, and varying ways to achieve your goals. Experiment with different approaches and discover how the world reacts to your actions.

Every action - and inaction - shapes the world around you. Your family’s days are numbered, and every time you take on a quest, time moves forward, compelling you closer to the end. Choose carefully whom to help and whom to leave behind. You will not have time for everyone. The world waits for no one. And neither does the villain.

Defy gravity, become a brutal force of nature, and use your supernatural skills as a vampire. Or raise your sword, and employ powerful magic to take on opponents as a human. Experiment and adapt as your form changes during the day and night; each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Venture through the hand-crafted open world and discover all it has to offer. Roam through the lush forests, the vast plains, the treacherous swamps, the steep mountaintops, and the medieval settlements. Explore forgotten ruins, find remnants of an ancient civilization, and uncover truths that should probably remain hidden.

Experience the beginning of a brand-new saga built with love for the role-playing genre. Immerse yourself in a visually stunning world powered by the next-gen Unreal Engine 5.
🩸The Blood of Dawnwalker🩸
🖤 Mein bisheriges Fazit
Was mir momentan besonders gefällt, ist dieses Gesamtgefühl. The Blood of Dawnwalker hat eine eigene Identität, ohne dabei auf Dinge zu verzichten, die ich an klassischen Fantasy-RPGs liebe. Eine wunderschöne Welt. Eine starke Atmosphäre. Musik, die die Stimmung trägt. Ein Kampfsystem, das mir Spaß macht. Charakterentwicklung. Erkundung.
Overall: Very good game with great directing. Story: Games should have director name presented in the game subtitle as movies do (e.g. Guy Ritchie's The Covenant). We can see that this game was created by the very same guys who wrote The Witcher 3 story. Game smoothness: This game needs optimization. A lot of optimization. 30FPS cutscenes hurt my eyes. Combat system: TOP, demanding yet enjoyable.
Finally a good vampire RPG. Some clear Witcher influences (Story, music, some combat elements/UI) which isn't a bad thing. Time progression system is nice, It gives a sense of urgency but without actively rushing you. Combat and movement is a little clunky. Blocking / parrying is messy so does take some getting used to. You will die alot. It runs pretty good for me at medium/high. Textures are a little grainy and off at times.
Listen, this comes before any patches, any complaints that have already been solved, any hate. This game is fantastic. The only issue I had in my first ten hours was my controller would occasionally decide it was a keyboard which was easily solved by hitting anything on the D-pad or just pausing. Did it take me out of my immersion a bit? Yes, but it didn't sully the experience at all. I have enjoyed every second of the ten hours I post this at. My Coen is level 12 and the game has been out for about 24ish hours (I didn't sleep the first night ironic right?) and I've enjoyed genuinely every moment since. I highly recommend this game. I'll give it a 4/5 or an 8/10 in its present state. In the future I hope this review means nothing and it evolves into a 10/10 easily, like Witcher 3
Game is great, story is insane. The threat of the time is a little overwhelming and the lock on mechanic needs some work but over all it's a fun game.
game good

A new very different game then we are used to, I must say currently i am very impressed. Reminds me of the witcher but you cannot compare it 1 on 1 since it has only but elements to its predecessor. Pros: -Visually Nice -Narratively great. -Great combat (vide cons segment) -You are not limited into doing something simply because of low level. It gets hard however I killed way too tough bosses by timing blocks and dodges perfectly. Its doable. -Adaptive reactions (vide cons segment) -Nice to have and fun powers! -No slapping of DEI elements in face -Devs who actually want a good game not an agenda Cons: -Combat as stated is great, however, even in the later levels, even if you have legendary and upgraded gear, the enemies become more and more sponge tanks which can make the fighting become tedious. -Narrative. As stated above it has witcher elements, and sometimes u may come across things which will be remembered in the future. However, this is sometimes done by delay... meaning i went to a certain place to get a certain ingredient, for a certain armor, were i found a main quest item. When i came to that main quest, i already had the necessary item, however, coen 'did not remember' he had the item already, and we had to do a main quest to learn about this item (which you already have), This could have been skipped and thus save the 30 day time. Neutral: -The 30 day time period is a new mechanic, it is welcomed since its a different thing. However, (and i do not know yet if this is possible since I did not complete the game yet) I wish that after completing the game once it can be possible to turn off this mechanic so you may experience the game without anxiety (i am an anxious person and i was already nervous when i reached 20 days left, Panicking at 15, Bumping my head at 10, unbearable <10 haha) Overall it is a great game with not many ground breaking bugs. Finally a game that does not give in to DEI agenda and devs who put love into a game. This was sorely lacking as of the past few years. mmm Verdict 8/10.
I'm not far in, but at the moment, this feels like a Witcher spinoff (that's a good thing). My biggest criticism would be uninteresting secondary characters. No one like Triss, Dandelion, Regis, Yennefer, Ciri, or the Bloody Baron yet.
