Succeeding in Tharsis requires you to make the best of what you have, even if it happens to be a pair of snake eyes. Certain factors may be outside of your control, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be overcome. Tharsis is not a game about facing the odds. It’s a game about changing them.

Dice aside, this is the most realistic depiction of how the trip to Mars would play out, if launched soon-ish or in the next 20 years. Except if some magical drive is invented, this really is where we're at. Oh, definitely 10/10, one of the best sci-fi games ever!
Fun game and it is just brutal. Random events can ruin a well thought out plan and kill ya randomly 60% of the way through a game haha. But it is fun in short bursts. Might wanna keep em short though so you don't punch your monitor.
Not a bad game but can be improved in many aspects. The game loop is too simple. Dying is too easy. Too RNG based. etc etc.
Tutorials couldn't possibly be more annoying, haven't seen more obnoxious ones anywhere else. Not sure if they can even be skipped. Okay, to keep it less off-topic? A lil' warning here, Tharsis is quite brutal, and heavily RNG/luck-based... would say around 8-/10 objectively. (Not recommending only because I don't personally like it, in the very end.)
I enjoyed this game quite a lot, +-11 hours to get all the achievements as well, which was fun.
The story line may be somewhat short, but then you learn there are harder difficulties and is replayable. The tutorial missions are a great boon for leaning the mechanics, as this game is HARD. But it's a fun little challenge!
I managed to get 14 hours out of this game and felt like I got my money worth since I had gotten it on sale. $10 or under and I'd say pull the trigger.
Awesome dice game! Good vibes, even for your astronauts. Encourages you to be vegan, or not it is up to you! Also this is a coffee break game, runs are quick.
