cute game. the very unpolished and almost unplayable parkour within the last level was horrible, lowkey ruined the experience tbh,.,.,but its barely three dollars and cute so I cant complain too much

thanks mom is yet another Lu game, and if you've played these before you know exactly what to expect storywise, i think it's fine, i like the way it uses the atmosphere to make you guess what is happening, as it's a very abstract interpretive game (until the end) gameplaywise, I don't think the platforming is *nearly* as bad as everyone else is saying, but it is notably a weak part of the game, and I'm not quite sure what purpose it serves. the only real thing I really didn't like is I didn't quite understand the reason why we flipped off every cube, was it to say no to fate? I'm not completely sure. but overall, as a Lu game, you know what to expect.
This... was an experience? Honestly I am super confused by this one.
Cute and sweet game but god is the platforming in the last area one of the most annoying things ever, erratic platforms that slip out right from under you
What the ♥♥♥♥?
Look, I recommend Lu's stuff in general. They're a nice little bite-sized monthly treat. Issue is, this fairly early one has a lot of platforming but bad jumping controls. when you press jump and when you jump are only tangentally related. If you're already halfway through the full catalogue like me you might play to the end, and I did enjoy it well enough. But if you purchased the collection or are looking to try a bite, this isn't where you should start chewing through.
It's a fever dream of a game & for that reason, I must recommend. Definitely pick it up if you see it on sale. I recorded this for a Members Only video, not knowing how weird it was going to be. Shows up as a Perfect Game when all steam achievements are received. It was not cohesive, janky platforming, completely frustrating & confusing. But that seems to be the way of this developer (after reading reviews) so I guess how can you be mad about it? What does the cow quote mean? Who is that lady in the cow costume?!?! I have so many questions.
This is one of the few Lu games I honestly didn't care for too much. As usual, the controls are rough, as well as the translation. The art is adorable. It's a short little experience where you play as an infant traveling through a surreal landscape. The ending is kind of cute but the whole ordeal just feels sort of... silly in a way that doesn't mesh with the main story concept well to me. Platforming is rough, but I can forgive that considering how short the game is.
