Copter and Sky

Note: This is a non-VR review. The graphics are way too simple for my taste. When rotating the camera often weird glitches happened and I felt lost. The music was great.

Para quem gosta de simuladores. Este é um de drone, controlamos cada direção e detalhe do drone, eu passei mais caindo entre as arvóres e estourando de tudo. Dificil controlar no Controle de Xbox-one. Comprei pelas cartinhas, farmei elas e deixando meu parecer. Não é meu estilo de game, quem gosta de simulação; tende a gostar.

"Copter and Sky" is a drone flying simulator with a number of game modes, like checkpoint racing and so on. You only get one hexcopter drone to fly (presumbly the devs couldn't get their hands on any other Unreal drone assets), so the game lacks much of the general interest that drone enthusiasts have for their hobby. Which is not to say that a drone sim game couldn't be awesome and in demand, but this, whatever it is, isn't it. Gameplay consists of awkwardly wrestling with the poor control scheme to make a drone fly around various courses, if you can be bothered. It's very badly put together and there's a lot of other people's assets (like the trees, environment objects... in fact not much of this game seems to have been made by the developer). From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. "Copter and Sky" didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for going through the first checkpoint in the first checkpoint race, but only around 18 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. The poor quality of this game is also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 8 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. The game contains stock/store assets and other packages, but the "developer" here hasn't credited the people who actually did the work for the game. While this isn't necessarily against the license for the use of those assets, claiming the work of others as your own is unethical. "Copter and Sky" is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
