It's April 2043 and you- as Tex Murphy, the last of the old-style gumshoes- find yourself racing against time in the most dangerous game of your life. What is the truth behind the rumored UFO crash at Roswell, New Mexico? Why did the military suddenly shut down and seal off the Roswell complex?

В целом тот же самый Under a Killing Moon, классическое продолжение, все больше и лучше сделано
👍
Played this game a long time ago. Still have good memories about this game. Which means i should play it again sometime.
ah well by now everyone knows this is an all-time classic adventure game, I just played it a second time given the chronic lack of new quality FMV games (why would anyone enjoy detective games with animals as characters is beyond me) but I digress.....I remember when Pandora Directive came out, the glossy game boxes lined up in my local shop in upstate NY. Sadly at that time I did not have a PC fast enough to run the game....those were DIY times for the PC game community, graphic cards the Vederman on PC Gamer mag etc etc....but now we can enjoy this gem in its pixelated beauty though I am hearing a remaster is on its way. Would also recommend the Tesla Tex game what a hoot to see something new from them 20 years later
Very similar to Under a Killing Moon.
2043, San Franciso of the "Future" More Tex, more of the same FMV & more bad first-person mouse-glide, as found in the last entry. Tex Murphy goes around from cutscene to cutscene -- and while the actors are still completely super-imposed onto CGI backdrops, at least now they employ medium shots & close-ups; colored mood lighting; and some wardrobe changes to "spice things up". The plot supposedly involves UFOs from Roswell & a government cover-up, but I was too bored to care. The cinematics are just bad, even though they do a better job at grabbing some kind of intended tone. Unlike its predecessor, which ran flawlessly and at proper aspect ratios, this one only functioned on the "DOSBox Daum" setting for me. An improvement is that the same damn tune doesn't loop endlessly, regardless of what you're doing. It actually has a soundtrack. ...Oh, and there are more minigames, too -- and that's about it. I don't really recommend this to anybody, but I have positive enough feelings toward the franchise as a whole not to trash it needlessly.
Probably one of the best adventure games of all time. And as far as the FMV genre is concerned, also one of the best FMV games of all time. Like all 90s games, many of the puzzles are super unintuitive and nearly impossible without utilizing the hint system, but good news, there's a hint system that will guide you through everything in the game, if you need it. Beyond that, the story and gameplay are excellent. The nostalgia is off the charts. Despite the 90s graphics, it is an utterly mesmerizing and engaging game. Completely pulls you into its world. It has everything. Noir, mystery, sci-fi, mayan legends, alien lore, aliens, mutants, comedy, great acting, everything.
Yes.
even 30 years later great music, acting and storyline!!!!!
slap sticky P&C with 90's nostalgia and good riffs
